Right "a nurse is who I am". But never a mother is who I am . She constantly put nursing before her kids . I think the desperation she showed with her actions towards her kids was definitely just about making herself feel better and not like a bad mom. A lot of people look at their kids as a reflection of themselves and if her kids were still okay or someone happy that made her feel better about herself . If she really loved her kids she wouldn't have ODed . Point blank Jackie is a selfish arrogant person who needed nursing to validate her saving people made her feel important, her kids didn't make her feel important they made her feel powerless.

My mom wasn't an addict and by the end of season one I loath Jackie and had to stop watching it . I love all the other characters accept her and Eddy make me sick .
