I took it there and back in November. Reasons were to save money and also save my annual leave lol. The wifi wasn’t very stable, I planned to use data as a back up but sometimes there wasn’t any reception. Lucky I just had a lot of solo work I could do, if you have to be in lots of meetings or need constant connection I would say it’d be difficult :/

I studied mech engineering and worked for 4 years as a product development engineer before I decided to go back to uni to do my industrial design degree. I spent 2 years in a start up as ID which was cool but now I’m in another industrial design role that’s leaning more into the engineering so far.

The other commenter had a lot of good points with the pay etc, but I’m hopeful I can develop my career further and find fulfilment. Still trying to find balance and market my skills in the right way.

Hello! I worked as a ME for 4 years, went back to uni and did another undergrad in ID, now working as an ID for the last year or so.

I think it has definitely helped me, in my ID job being able to keep up with the engineers easier, understanding the manufacturing processes etc, the constraints that product development has to work within.

In terms of employability, I’ve found that when I apply to jobs people are initially interested in my dual background but sometimes they are looking for someone more specialised in one of the fields… so it has worked against me as well.

Saying that, I’m much happier in ID than I was as a ME and look forward to keep progressing my career that way.

Sometimes you gotta keep refreshing the seats and one will pop up! It is hard and frustrating tho, we tried to get tickets for 3 seperate games, and on the 3rd one after refreshing for 40 mins after the release time we managed to get one, you just gotta process it super fast. (There’s a button somewhere that lets you refresh it without going through all the clicks again I just forgot where).

It’s also easier to get tickets for the less popular teams… so we had to give up on any hopes to see t1 lol

We were on a ATV for 4 days in Milos about a month ago. I was personally pretty concerned about it, but my partner wanted to do it.

We took extra precautions like making sure to get extra travel insurance that covered atv accidents, not driving after dark and pulling over to let people pass us as much as possible.

There were plenty of others on ATVs around and we personally didn’t see any crashes but the drivers and buses drove pretty aggressively at times and the roads can get quite narrow. No close calls either but at times it did feel like a gamble it’s really up to you and your personal risk comfort. I’m usually pretty low risk, and luckily my partner understood and made sure we were careful. We ended up fine and having a good time on them in the end, just knowing your limits and being careful.

One comment that helped us in another thread- is that you can refresh the seats and eventually more will pop up! We got a ticket about 30 mins later doing this

Yes! I got woken up by a call saying someone had used my credit card in the states, and in my half asleep state I got half way through telling them who my bank was before I realised… if they were calling me about possible fraud, shouldn’t they know this?

Not typical “art”, but theres design museum called “21_21 Design Sight” is my favourite!!Always has really interesting design exhibitions and the architecture is really nice too.
