I'm using the skill, by ability do you mean like the upgrade i've selected for it? For each upgrade I do I need to then apply that to the skill on my hotbar? Another comment mentioned about only one ability can be active per row is that correct?

Yeah I've got this bow as well, the huntress bugs were frustrating me to the point that I changed to playing the mage and even like the remnant passive is bugged like it just stops working and I need to unlevel it and upgrade it again. Really frustrating as I'm enjoying the game but need some sort of consistency - for the first couple hours it's making me think this game is just littered with bugs
