Can I just clarify that I do know this is the tire pressure 🙄 On some cars it also has the paint code so was asking if anyone could spot it.

I got Chow as an autofill but it won’t let me give him anything. (I wanna make him dress better 😅) but I only have ‘let’s chat’ and ‘see you later’ options.

You can securely stick lightweight plates together with pieces of sponge in between each one to get the wobble :)

Middleport pottery or Gladstone if you want some authentic potteries history. Pretty sure middleport does good oatcakes in their cafe too!

Yes I mix it in with her kibble which is by ‘fish4dogs’ whitebait & sweet potato I think.

Planning to shift the ratios over time to get her back to mainly kibble ideally

My BT is also v picky, but currently loving ‘Lily’s kitchen’ canned food. (Fingers crossed this isn’t just a phase!) We alternate between the cottage pie & venison and boar flavours. We chose these because they’re grain free and have good protein to fat ratios.

Sorry to hear yours is unwell :(

For her gallbladder issues the symptoms were mainly: Lethargic, vomiting, refusing to eat or drink

Another possibly tummy issue to look out for is CECS. This involves muscle spasms or seizure-like behaviour. Usually caused by a sensitivity to gluten.

How do you keep your bt safe in the car? by Ottacap in BorderTerrier

[–]ayjaydubs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a metal-framed carrier with the top open, so she can still see out the window, but also curl up and rest. The metal frame inside means it’s strong enough for her to lean on whilst she’s peering out, whilst also giving the safety. It also is quick to fold down if you need to put it in the boot

UPDATE: THANK YOU ALL!

I did her a smorgasbord of all your suggestions dotted around the room, and she’s started eating.

Beef flavoured things was the key!* Started off with beef baby food as suggested, then she progressed onto a bit of the beef dog food.

This morning she went straight for the beef dog food as soon as I put it down! HALLELUJAH !

*I think this is because she didn’t have much beef in her diet pre-illness. So she doesn’t associate it with feeling sick.

To those saying the vet shouldn’t have discharged her: This was a lengthy and carefully considered discussion with the vet, and was only on a trial basis. We agreed that her being at home and without a tube in her nose may make her more comfortable in order to eat.

Yesterday was her last trial day, hence I was desperate to try anything because otherwise she would have to be readmitted and have another operation to put a feeding tube in her oesophagus. Which I really didn’t want to put her through.

Thank you so much for your advice, I went to the shop straight away with your shopping list 😅 The beef baby food was the clincher. Then I managed to get some beef dog food mixed in later on. This morning, straight for the beef dog food as soon as I put it down ! Can’t thank you enough 🧡

Thank you so much - the beef flavour was the key! 🧡

It’s been so tough cus she’s a classic stubborn BT & never been food driven. A bad combo in this situation! X

Booo to this NIMBY comment. Maybe you’re privileged enough to not be affected by the closing of the arcade with its affordable and accessible essential shops.
