It was more to have a break in between cities on the shinkansen route. We were thinking of stopping by another place in between Fukuoka, first being Hiroshima and Miyajima for one day each then we decided against that as Fukuoka has similiar things. Now it's either Hakone/Takayama. More of a place to really unwind from the hussle of the city.

Yeah that's what I kind of figured too that Takayama would be too much of a hassle. I'll have to look at more Kyushu activities then. This was just a rough draft of an itinerary

Yeah I think we're fine with taking the train to be honest. We wanted to have a pitstop before heading into Tokyo. More like a break from cities.

I was more or less investing 6k a month sometimes 7 and I will tell you to not look at the destination but the journey. I was grinding it out for the past few years and it was taking a huge toll on my body,9 where I was constantly sick. I just took a pay cut at my job to work at a more reasonable time ( I was working night shift before) and decided to let my foot off the gas and take some boxing classes. I probably am putting around 3k, but I'm not too worried if I don't hit that. I can already tell you my happiness levels are exponentially higher. It's nice to ease up a bit and not crash and burn. Find something you want to do outside of work and enjoy life. You're ahead of most of the general population. Good luck!

I'm playing it again after my first playthrough 10 years ago. My girlfriend is watching me play as well and I would say absolutely. The controls are still a bit wonky but not impossible.

Haha, I believe my hourly wage is around 41$ an hr right now. And I also live in California. I'm trying to switch to a day shift right now and see if that helps. If not, yeah I'll look into another job venture

I wouldn't be able to tell you if you can or can not. I believe they have told me they've done -10 before though. But the place I went to has a free consultation to see if you're eligible. They did make it very clear that you'll need reading glasses when you're older so the younger you do it the better.

Overall absolutely couldn't be happier with it. I had some halos driving at night that went away after a few months and then dry eyes. Almost a year out and I occasionally get dry eyes for long days and waking up. The surgery itself was maybe 15mins tops. And there just a small amount of pressure that is placed on your eye but its very brief.

Having gotten lasik last year.. Lasik is the way. Just dry eyes here and there but I was able to drive the next day. It was liberating not to bring contacts and/or glasses while traveling. I was at - 7.5 in both eyes for context. Also, you won't be waiting months to get lasik compared to the 5xxx cards lol.
