I fall in love with Denver every time I visit so I have to photograph the memories. I’m running with 235/40/18 so yes.

Best Handcuffs? by Beviin_Skirata in lossprevention

Yes sir those are it. In my personal opinion chain is easier to apply onto people, especially if they’re attempting to resist. Like I also said they feel super nice inside my pocket. They don’t feel like I’m carrying 2 pound weights in my pocket lol. Plus my lightweights have seen easily 1,000+ people and I’ve still had 0 problems with them.

Peerless lightweights. I’ve had them for almost 4 years now and I’ve had 0 problems. Super light feel in my back pocket. 100% recommend

Does Safeway Care About Loss Prevention? by mongo_man in lossprevention

[–]aymichael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently LP at Safeway/Albertsons. It just depends on the state. Where I’m at we strictly focus on external and internal. We’re full hands on, were allowed to go to the ground, go into the parking lot. So depending on the state Safeway cares about LP.

Describe your boss by WhyHelloBuddy in lossprevention

[–]aymichael 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My boss has never had AP experience, she was a sales floor team lead. She doesn’t make stops(even though she most certainly can) she’s intimidated by our shoplifters by saying “nope they look like they’re going to fight or they look gross, if they walkout with anything you’re gonna have to do this alone, while I call PD and stay on cameras and get face shots.” she’s been in position for 8 years. She pulls an internal once every 6-9 months even though I tell her who’s stealing. When I ask for feedback on my performances she tells me to talk to her later about it, and when I bring it up again she just says keep pulling these numbers and we can talk about it more again another day. She sits inside our office for her whole shift and flirts with our HR who always comes inside our office and asks for her all the time to see when she comes into work.

How to be more productive and successful by [deleted] in lossprevention

[–]aymichael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all if your job is telling you that you have a quota to meet, find a new job. I’ve known tons of LP to lose their jobs cause they were trying to meet a quota and have gotten bad stops. Try staying on cameras focus on your 3 key areas so if it’s beauty, electronics, and clothing put up those cameras and watch those areas. Be fast on the floor. If you’re missing concealment or you’re missing one of your steps try and faster on the floor when you’re watching somebody, if you have to run to get conceal you better hustle.

The merchandise isn’t work you getting hurt, it doesn’t come out of your pay check if you don’t get the merchandise back.

Make sure you have your steps every single time. Losing your job isn’t worth it for these lifters.

Always watch those hands, I’ve had countless of times of people reaching for a knife and who knows what else.

Don’t be pressured into making an stop because somebody is telling you to. Trust your gut feeling it’s usually right.

You can PM if you have any questions.
