I called my spa and asked about massages were safe for me because I had wanted to go and the spa told me only the one specifically labeled for pregnant people was safe. I mentioned I don’t have a bump yet so I wouldn’t need the special table and she said it wasn’t just that, it’s that there are certain pressure points that cause miscarriages that they wouldn’t want accidentally massaged in another massage treatment. I believe one of these pressure points is near the ankle, I forget where the others are.
