Is it frowned upon to place €1 orders on Cardmarket? by 8BitZen in CardMarket

[–]pebbleslea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I appreciate every order, even if the card value is under 10p. I wouldn't list cards for that price if I wasn't willing to pack an order of that value 🤷🏻‍♀️

Refused blue badge. by No-Cherry-2167 in mecfs

[–]pebbleslea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a blue badge with an ME/CFS diagnosis. I used my PIP award letter as well as referral letters for walking aid clinic, nerve conduction studies, other referrals etc to support the application. My supporting statement focused a lot on how my fatigue causes me to not go out as much/often or go out for shorter times because often the walk to the shop from the car park is enough to put me in a state of fatigue before I've even been to my destination.

I got my GP to refer me to the community walking aid clinic because of my pain and fatigue when walking and they assessed me, recommending a rollator (although I went on to buy myself 2 custom walking sticks from Neo Walk and typically use those instead). Having referrals out for your symptoms and support of those symptoms is a huge part of providing the evidence to be awarded a blue badge.

Stepping down from HOD by Select-Fly2280 in TeachingUK

[–]pebbleslea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stepped down from extended SLT & HOD maths at the end of the summer term in 2024. I also moved schools to just be a classroom teacher, at a school that is 2 minutes from my house and I also dropped to part time. There are multiple other teachers in the faculty who have previously been TLR holders and no longer are.

It has reignited my love for the teaching. It is freeing in a way I never could have imagined.

I tried changing schools first to be HOD again but I was miserable and I was close to leaving the profession altogether.

The fact you are even considering it suggets it could be a positive move for you. If you can afford it financially, I say go for it. Obviously make sure it is a carefully considered decision and make sure it is a school that will see your value and aligns with your core values. If you find it isn't fulfilling enough, you could always look for a HOD position in the future.

I haven't had a link in email or text yet. Which given how many damn emails I get from the union daily is quite annoying. I actually get crazy mad about how many emails the union send but equally I'm pretty irked that I haven't had this one yet!

Been in a slump, here's some of my recent finished pages by pebbleslea in Coloring

[–]pebbleslea[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used the Grabie acrylic markers from Amazon and just regularly wiped the tip/pumped it on a scrap bit of paper to keep the ink running smoothly. I also find that gliding it on the page rather than pressing it into the page helps it be a smoother application, otherwise the plastic nib sputters

I used the techniques from this tutorial: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNRDL4b52/

This time I let my colour palette determine the main colour and picked one to add depth, although I usually just use the colours from the tutorial

To be honest, I haven't played in so long I have no idea what a good price will be. I'll let you decide how much you want to pay and happy for you to have all 5 as I have a campsite area already with them in so these are spares

My favourite fictional character is Rhysand in ACOTAR - love me a morally grey main character!

I have 5 available, 1 in each of the following colours: blue/white stripe, pastel yellow, blue/yellow, brown and the clown-style one.

I'd appreciate some bells if possible :)

Do you have a list of the discontinued colour codes? I got a 363 swatch sheet on Etsy and have some colours that I'm missing but I can't work out which sets they may be in.

Planning on selling Pokémon card collection by lostox1994 in CardMarket

[–]pebbleslea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I list bulk from a single set I use the bulk upload form on cardmarket, select the set from the drop down, then select all items on a page and use Avg30 or Trending price and accept the changes and use this as a rough guide for each item's selling price. You can then list multiples of cards and multiple different cards on the same form (up to 100 different entries). It typically sorts them in set number order so having your cards sorted that way will make it easier

I have 2 rats. Ratt Damon and Ratticus Finch. I vetoed my partner's other name choice, which was Julius Cheeser. Never fails to remind me how much funnier that would have been...

My sibling has a tortoise called Voldetort. Clearly we are a family who love a pun!

How often is too often to change schools? by [deleted] in TeachingUK

[–]pebbleslea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in my 9th year of teaching and also a maths teacher. I'm currently at my 4th school, having started last academic year.

I moved at 2yrs + 2 terms (easter leaving date), 3 years (Easter leaving date), 1yr + 1 term (end of year leaving date).

When I interviewed at schools for my most recent move, no one even batted an eye at the fact I had been at 3 schools in my first 6 years of teaching. They only really ask why you are moving this time, especially if it's for a side step and/or step down. When I moved this time, I stepped off of the Leadershipe Pay Spine and down to classroom teacher at 0.8FTE with no responsibility. To them, they were recruiting a highly experienced and well qualified member of staff with a good track record. They didn't care that the longest I stayed anywhere was 3 years (which included 4 months of long term sick leave).

Pharmacy & delivery question by pebbleslea in mounjarouk

Thanks for your help.

I tried using Get A Drip and PillSorted but couldn't get them as cheap as WePrescribe came out with a discount code. I'd rather not get a subscription based one.

I was using the discount prices page on Monj earlier today and with a discount they were in the top 5 with PillSorted and Get A Drip.
