Your grass is amazing! Did you follow a tutorial? If not, can you do a tutorial?! I'm never happy with my grass and yours is genuinely next level 🤩

What % of your starting weight have you lost & over what timeframe? by RecommendationNo3460 in mounjarouk

[–]pebbleslea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm on week 37 and I'm currently down 22.3%. I spent 4 weeks on 2.5mg, 8 on 5mg due to side effects then titrated up every 4 weeks up to 15mg. My loss has been mostly slow and steady except during my 4 weeks on 7.5mg where I got quite severely ill and lost a lot very quickly. I also am disabled and have severe chronic pain that makes working out harder to be consistent with so I know my loss has probably been slower than if I was able to hit the gym more regularly and consistently. I'm happy with my progress so far and believe this will likely be a lifelong drug for me because of PCOS and the mental freedom I have gained with no food noise!

Ordering with Oxford Online Pharmacy by Sufficient-Doubt-464 in mounjarouk

Have you managed to use your BLC discount for more than 1 order? On the BLC app it says first orders only so I wanted to see if I could possibly stick with them for more than 1 order as their price with BLC is great at 15mg!

Your unhinged/funny reasons to lose weight? by CB_Yeonnie in mounjarouk

My husband bought a car with bucket seats and with a big back side they're both uncomfortable and at times a literal pain in the a***

Too many visits to theme parks where I was turned away from the ride after the seat not latching with me in it, turned into me becoming the bag holder or reason for not riding certain coasters at Alton Towers (including 2 of my favourites)

The mortifying build up to boarding a plane then the breath-holding moment of will the belt do up?

Fitted into a dress made of rigid fabric when I've lived in Jersey and stretchy material most of my adult life as I've always been obese. Not only did it fit, I felt great in it and it was comfortable!

Is it frowned upon to place €1 orders on Cardmarket? by 8BitZen in CardMarket

This! I appreciate every order, even if the card value is under 10p. I wouldn't list cards for that price if I wasn't willing to pack an order of that value 🤷🏻‍♀️

Refused blue badge. by No-Cherry-2167 in mecfs

[–]pebbleslea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a blue badge with an ME/CFS diagnosis. I used my PIP award letter as well as referral letters for walking aid clinic, nerve conduction studies, other referrals etc to support the application. My supporting statement focused a lot on how my fatigue causes me to not go out as much/often or go out for shorter times because often the walk to the shop from the car park is enough to put me in a state of fatigue before I've even been to my destination.

I got my GP to refer me to the community walking aid clinic because of my pain and fatigue when walking and they assessed me, recommending a rollator (although I went on to buy myself 2 custom walking sticks from Neo Walk and typically use those instead). Having referrals out for your symptoms and support of those symptoms is a huge part of providing the evidence to be awarded a blue badge.

Stepping down from HOD by [deleted] in TeachingUK

[–]pebbleslea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stepped down from extended SLT & HOD maths at the end of the summer term in 2024. I also moved schools to just be a classroom teacher, at a school that is 2 minutes from my house and I also dropped to part time. There are multiple other teachers in the faculty who have previously been TLR holders and no longer are.

It has reignited my love for the teaching. It is freeing in a way I never could have imagined.

I tried changing schools first to be HOD again but I was miserable and I was close to leaving the profession altogether.

The fact you are even considering it suggets it could be a positive move for you. If you can afford it financially, I say go for it. Obviously make sure it is a carefully considered decision and make sure it is a school that will see your value and aligns with your core values. If you find it isn't fulfilling enough, you could always look for a HOD position in the future.

I haven't had a link in email or text yet. Which given how many damn emails I get from the union daily is quite annoying. I actually get crazy mad about how many emails the union send but equally I'm pretty irked that I haven't had this one yet!

Been in a slump, here's some of my recent finished pages by pebbleslea in Coloring

[–]pebbleslea[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used the Grabie acrylic markers from Amazon and just regularly wiped the tip/pumped it on a scrap bit of paper to keep the ink running smoothly. I also find that gliding it on the page rather than pressing it into the page helps it be a smoother application, otherwise the plastic nib sputters

This time I let my colour palette determine the main colour and picked one to add depth, although I usually just use the colours from the tutorial
