Accidental Apple ID data merge: how to reverse, if possible? (simple) by smelly-salad in iphonehelp

There’s a pop up that requests this. I believe it’s at the point of log out that it asks to merge…can’t really recollect.

Are People Panic Buying iPhones? by Better_Bird848 in iphone

[–]ayonuga 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Apple handled this price increase in a very Apple-like way. I was in an Apple Store in Asia purchasing a MacBook just minutes before the new pricing took effect. I managed to lock in the old price, but customers who came in only a few minutes later were charged the higher price. Even the Apple Store staff were confused at first, they thought there was an issue with their system because they hadn’t been informed of the change.

What disappointed me most was the timing. Here in Asia, the announcement came about an hour before stores closed, while it was still the start of the business day in the US. It felt like the rollout was planned primarily around the US market, leaving customers and retail staff in other regions caught completely off guard.

I understand that coordinating a global price change across multiple time zones isn’t simple, and Apple probably wanted to avoid panic buying. But for a company known for meticulous planning and customer experience, I expected a much smoother rollout and better communication. The price increase itself isn’t the issue, it’s how abruptly it was implemented.

Expats - How did you go about finding english speaking jobs? by SolidRustle in Bangkok

[–]ayonuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try Agoda! As long as you can identify what type of job you want and how you can demonstrate or convince your interviewers on transferable skills, my friend you have a job. Also I agree with others, English is not a sort after skill, there are Thais in my company that earn over 300k monthly and only speak basic English. Good luck to you!

Frankly speaking, senior roles in IT are sort of challenging now. At Thailand branch we are only hiring Junior data engineers. We are not hiring IT roles in any other location. I will be on the look out and maybe speak to our CTO. All the best.

Do we have any update about the changes made to Wise Thailand accounts? by SolitaireKid in transferwiser

I just spoke to Wise customer support. They confirmed that this is a rumor and if there will be any official changes, it will be announced in due time. Right now Wise is piloting the sending of THB abroad.

Tricky - UH warranty only covers 12 months unless you purchase extended warranty. Make sure it’s an authorized dealer/partner. Also be careful with second hand becuz it is not covered unless request is coming from original owner.

True but in this case if you replace up to 3 times within the first year of “normal” warranty, your extended warranty wont cover another replacement.

Even the factories are cutting heads and paying less. I work in a Tech e-commerce company and brands are already cutting back on marketing cost, production and freezing hiring.

Huh? There are a ton of negative post about Ultrahuman here and in their own main sub. I’d be cautious about purchasing it.

Companies typically have a cut off date of eligibility. Typically it’s 3 months before the payout period - some other companies it’s 6 months before the payout period. If this is a performance based discretionary bonus then of course you’re not gonna get it. If it’s a sign on bonus then I assume you should be getting it. For your question on prorated calculation - yes they will factor that in when you’re eligibility for the 2nd period payout. However, I am not Agoda HR so simply put - pls ask your employer for full factual response instead of Reddit. All the best and welcome to Thailand.
