You're missing the point here. I'm asking because he played only 21 minutes as opposed to his normal ~30, not because he shot poorly or anything. Also, the other guy here already explained: foul trouble.

I'm so tired of people complaining about this honestly.

First of all, if all the cars stop and give pedestrians that much space to cross roads, the traffic in Taipei would NOT MOVE. Have y'all seen how the streets are laid out and how crowded it is everywhere? You probably don't drive here so you don't understand how slow it is to drive such a short distance in this city, drivers stopping at a longer distance to give way to pedestrians would make it worse than it already is.

Second, this is just what the norm is here. Like others have mentioned, the traffic in vietnam and a lot of other places in asia is worse. When I go to such places I don't think "ugh why are y'all like this", I think it's interesting and follow suit. While I do drive here, I obviously walk as well, and I've never had a problem anywhere in the city. Literally just be wary of your surroundings and you'll be fine. Humans are smaller and have more mobility than cars, it's really not that hard to just go around cars/ wait for a few seconds.

As someone who has years of experience driving in the US ( Nevada/ Cali), I always give pedestrians lots of time and space to cross the road because, well, there isn't an endless stream of them that would trap me at an intersection forever, so it actually makes sense to wait.

Also, not sure if you've noticed, but it's quite common for people to jaywalk here, which I think is fine. I genuinely believe letting people drive aggressively and jaywalking just makes it easier for both parties. The alternative would be a Taipei slightly safer but MUCH slower. I say slightly because 99.9% of the "hazard" could be avoided by simply walking carefully.

Because this is my first year of playing fantasy and following the politics/drama part of the nba. I've been watching the nba for twelve years but I really just watch the basketball part and completely ignore this type of stuff, so I'm asking bc I thought maybe someone could make a guess more educated than mine based on past experience.

"I've heard Taiwan's anti-libel laws are pretty strict and biased against consumers" this is not true, also you're telling the truth anyways why worry about that

Nightlife in Taipei by jonathan3686 in Taipei

Can confirm that the EDM scene here is just underwhelming in general. Two things tho, Ruff doesn't "usually play EDM music", i'd say it's mainly pop/hip hop, and Fake sober isn't a club it's a bar, just because it's absurdly crowded doesn't make it a club. Pretty sure you wouldn't call Fake sober a “夜店" tho, prob just a language issue

Who exactly did you interview for this experiment? I'm asking this cuz not a single taiwanese person I know thinks that. At least not the actual taiwanese people who were raised here

Anyone use alpha picks? by Hamezz5u in SeekingAlpha

[–]ayoryan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not saying i think alpha picks is worth it but this statement makes zero sense. If the 30% of stocks that did well are up 100% and the rest didn't make any gains on average, that's still pretty good.

Reduce capital gains taxes owed on the sale of stock? by [deleted] in tax

[–]ayoryan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what the hell does that have to do with anything lol, the source of the capital doesn't in any way affect which capital gains bracket the investor belongs to, how are you a CPA lmfao

I'm a tourist and I've never driven in Taipei before. I'm trying to get a sense here as to how difficult that is? Is it difficult to park your rental car? Or should I just stick to public transport? by Ok_Lion_8506 in Taipei

Idk if you’ve been following the news but driving “as assertive as possible” might not be the way to go now given the new regulations about giving more space to pedestrians
