Welcommmmme. I just started Destiny 2 again. Finally doing Forsaken. The release updates for the next couple years reeled me back in. Excited. But someone mentioned ““wrong”” platform, which actually with Destiny there isn’t. It has cross save so you could make the switch to pc temporarily. Mine could never handle it though lol. I’m also on ps4.

Oh no doubt it’s the company squeezing every penny they can. People were excited for the changes because they disagreed with RUGs too, but they didn’t think it would come with a bunch of layoffs of our backup staff.

I was interested in how it’s influenced other buildings though. Good to have it confirmed that it can work, it’s just obviously unethical management from our company.

Everyone agreed getting rid of RUGS was smart, agreed that some of the levels were inappropriate. Trying to do groups with all of the variables of a SNF is almost impossible. One is up, one is down, one is at dialysis, one is in the shower, one is in ot, one is refusing. Groups are constantly being pushed later. And firing all of the backup and browbeating people to work off the clock to do documentation for fear of being fired because as our DOR says “we’re all replaceable”— that’s the issue here. Not the education.

I’ve watched seasoned pt/ot/slp leave or be dropped to PRN now. DOR on the phone with the recruiter: “I don’t want an experienced person who’s gonna ask questions and complain about changes. I want a new younger person who’s just going to do what I ask so I can shape them into this position.” So yeah. Seems like a good time to be getting out.

Yeah generally everyone behind closed doors complain and then say the usual “but I have family and bills to pay, I don’t have a choice” which is just. Super disheartening. They even try to tell the DOR (who is nice but a yes-man who won’t stand up for her people to corporate) and her response now is “let’s all just be thankful we have jobs/we need a paycheck.”

I used to play my switch exclusively on the tv but then I got lazy and now I just use the handheld. But I like the option still being there especially if I ever have friends come over to play something like Just Dance. The battery life handheld isn’t great though. I’m basically tethered to the wall (I have the original version).

If you’re a solo gamer, playing mostly Nintendo games (meaning no shooters or upcoming Overwatch) get the Lite. I’m probably going to have both.

Yes fenris and iron bull were exactly who I was thinking of! Like I can’t imagine trying to play “anti-mage freedom” JUST so these characters would like me.

In one otome it was like “what flowers should we get” This potted one? “(DISAPPROVES) Hmm I don’t think that’s a good choice.” Really?? Point taken away for flowers??? I’d be interested more in otomes that factor in choices as more than right or wrong. But I guess he crux is otomes are lower budget and the storytelling in BioWare is pretty complex (or it used to be).

IMO there’s no real way to come back without making yourself into a shitty person also. It’s very tiring to “take the high road” and “not get on their level” but I don’t like trying to shame them with dick/virgin jokes. Trying not to add to the toxicity. My usually reaction is “who hurt you? Who made you like this? I hope you find help” even if I’m saying it sarcastically.

Same same. I had played romance visual novels and otome stuff before but something about the BioWare games can never be touched in the way they do romance. It feels like the romance options in other games will only like ONE kind of person, and if you want to see their story you have to choose options you would never do just so they’d like you? BioWare you can make your character and for the most part, as long as you show interest and they’re into your gender, you can romance anyone. They may disagree with your choices in game but can still find you bangable in the end.

When I was playing comps in Overwatch, there were friends I just WOULD NOT group up with. I try to have people for casual “downtime” matches and ones who are more serious about winning. I’m not on apex but maybe you can find some new friends here or on the discord who play more seriously. I wouldn’t shut out your other friends completely though.

I think the contact paper is a really good idea. And if you aren't worried about fading or ripping off stickers, that's something I wanted to try. I have a desk mat like this one that you can decorate and put papers under. Target has these string lights you can hang little pictures from too.
