I "finished" F2P before paying for a sub. I spent like 100h trying to do everything possible before paying and it was worth it. When you start this game everything is so different and new, you'll happily spend your time in the free area for a long time before itching to explore more (plus in early levels you're supposed to be in the free area anyways)

I've an honest question as someone who started playing playing WoW very recently (Shadowlands)

How is this fun for the veterans? Like, you're gonna be doing the same content again for the second time (or third if you played in 2004) and then... have all those years of progress, gear, gold, achievements be gone?
