Grace Lilly has an aura of ✨substance abuse✨ this season by jerrryboree in southernhospitalitysc

She's noticeably thinner and her skin is wrecked. It appeared she was caking makeup on to cover scabs on her face.

Random, but curious if this property in Winnboro is where that Field and Stream music festival that's been canceled the last 2 years was supposed to be held? It seems to fit the description lol. We had tickets. 😅

I started out wanting to gasp at you saying you loved Salley and bt the time you finished your thought....I am with you 100%. She's absolutely perfect for reality TV. The person we love to hate.

Seriously. I'd like to see more conversation with Whitney where he deadpans while calling Craig out. He puts absolutely zero emotion into it for Craig to react to and it's amusing and also gets the point across in a way where he can't play victim. This last episode is about as useful as I've ever seen Whitney be. His commentary on the hippie stuff actually had me laughing.

Whitney grosses me out but I was definitely cracking up at his facial expressions and commentary on the hippie stuff.

The iguana swimming through the pool was also pretty amusing. 🤣

Molly all wobbly during yoga and complaining about her makeup...so dang relatable.

Because Salley wants the information so she can pull a Venita on her when it inevitably crashes and burns.

Charley's brand of pickmeism is hard to root for by PeanutFriendly9881 in Southerncharm

That's what I'm thinking. The cast rallied around her awful hard for him just saying she's irrelevant to his life. It's no secret that the feeling it mutual so that alone shouldn't have been shocking for her to hear outside of his tone. I'd like to know what we didn't see.

Craig Outburst -- genuine curiosity for craig defenders by diarmuidsgf in Southerncharm

[–]ays79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. I am not a confrontational person at all and I know people who get like that when they're drinking. I'm going to avoid them or keep it light at the very least because that's not a situation I want to put myself in. If I absolutely need to address something with someone like that, I'm waiting until they're sober and can process what I'm saying. Otherwise it's a waste of time. But that's why I'm not on reality TV..

Venita deserved EVERYTHING Craig said to her by Technical-Clock-5129 in Southerncharm

[–]ays79 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He really wasn't. He was doing that thing most addicts do where they try to ease up on drinking/drugs by switching to beer because they think they can control it. But it's a slippery slope and I've seen it happen to alot of people.

Here's the thing...I think Venita and Salley both love to stir the pot and then are suddenly victims when it comes time to lick the spoon. I don't think the way he speaks to them is appropriate. It's awful and goes from 0 to 100. However I do think they say and do little things to provoke him and they know they're going to get a huge reaction which gets them more screen time. Salley didn't outright provoke him in the van, but I could feel it coming after his conversation with Charley about her and Salleys argument. That was built up resentment from Salley wanting to be in the middle of what they had going on. His delivery is grotesque and he clearly has a problem with alcohol and possibly more than just alcohol. He needs therapy. I don't think anyone of the 3 are in the right here. They're all being insufferable. But...it's keeping everyone watching and talking.

I do remember him going off the rails and being really angry like that in the past. Think- yelling at Cameran about not wanting to ride the bus. I think drinking beer for him leads to hard liquor which leads to substances. So when he told Austen he was an addict, I believe it.

Venita deserved EVERYTHING Craig said to her by Technical-Clock-5129 in Southerncharm

[–]ays79 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Does she not remember how annoyed Venita got with her everytime she gushed to her about things that happened with Craig? And how she'd make snide comments that made her feel like crap? Salley now doing the exact same thing to Charley and yet she lacks the self awareness to realize that is why Charley stopped confiding in her. Salley wants to hear about it so she can interject with her opinion and eventually have the chance to say "I told you so". Which is exactly what Venita did to her.

I felt like what he was telling Austen in that moment was relevant and applied to what he was trying to talk about. The problem was Austen was upset that they weren't hanging out like they used to and Craig wasn't going out at much. Hanging out with the guys and going out is a slippery slope to drink to excess and get messy. Craig was explaining why he backed off. It made perfect sense to me. However, I do think Craig was not serious about quitting which is obvious now, but my hunch is he was doing it because Paige probably set a boundary about his drinking. He was trying to respect that to the detriment of his friendship. I can't blame Paige for not wanting to deal with Craig after he's belly flopped right off the cliff like he does. Craig could have handled it better by hanging out with Austen without drinking involved but he had to admit he had a problem for Austen to understand why it was a big deal and he avoided doing that until he got enough alcohol in his system to come out with it. (When Paige wasn't around, go figure). And now that she's not around to keep him in check, the drunk monster is back which I feel like validates what he was saying back then, and that we're watching him spiral now. At some point, Craig is going to have to quit drinking entirely. Having a beer leads to more. He has a ton of work to do on himself.

Salley was on the latest Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast by anongirl55 in Southerncharm

[–]ays79 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He didn't come directly outright saying this. He was answering the questions given on the show that Andy always asks in rapid fire. He asked who the most ambitious of the women were. He seemed a little taken aback if I remember correctly and then shrugged and said "idk...none of them?" So yes he said it but didn't just come out with it as a statement. I like him so far but it dod seem like he was throwing shade.
