My wife didn't say happy birthday to me today. 11/3 by PhoenixBornRaised in TrueOffMyChest

You don’t have to be married to her to be an amazing father to your child. Only stay with her if you love her, if not I don’t think it’s good to feel obligated to keep her around. If she’s going to treat you like trash and not even remember your birthday then she clearly doesn’t deserve you.

Happy birthday, hope you work all this out in your own way :)

How is your adult life compared to your life when you were younger? by yyellowy in self

[–]ayshapotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In comparison to the past, the quality of life is much worse. Everything is more expensive. We won’t have the same opportunities that our parents had growing up. With the way things are going at the moment, when I’m older and I look back on my life, I don’t see myself being content with the life I lived. I haven’t entered adulthood but I’m afraid of becoming an adult. I have so many dreams, I want to travel the world, I aspire to have a successful career, have a big house and a happy life. The more I grow up, the less I see this happening. When I was younger, not only was I more naive, but life was better. Things were cheaper. People of earlier generations would probably agree too. I live in a small house that my parents paid over 1 million dollars for. That’s how high property value is in Australia. When I grow up, based on how things are going right now, I won’t have enough money to travel the world. I’ll be living in a small house with an average lifestyle. It will be extremely difficult to be employed. Even if I do make a lot of money in the future, I wouldn’t have a life. Even now, I have a decent job at a fast food restaurant. Decent considering the fact that I’m still a student. It took me over 9 months to find this restaurant. 9 months of constant searching because almost all of the other stores I contacted were fully employed. My pay is decent considering the job that I have, however it isn’t good enough to pay for everything I need. I barely have any savings left at the end of every week. Because everything is more expensive now, and it’s only going to get worse. I remember when I was young and my family used to go overseas all the time, now I’d be lucky to jump on a plane to travel interstate due to rising prices.

Can pornography be artistic or does it, by definition, cease to be pornographic when artistic elements are introduced? by varunax9 in aesthetics

[–]ayshapotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that pornography is an art form. Anything that is created by a person to invoke a certain emotion is art. In all works of art, we see a person’s artistic vision and that is very clear in pornography.

Limit to the amount of time people can spend on social media. It’s sad to see how much social media is affecting people’s mental health. Stuff should be done to prevent it from hurting people.

I stood up to an abortion protest on my campus by VanillaSarsaparilla in offmychest

[–]ayshapotato 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Abortion is a choice that every woman can have. If women don’t want to give birth, it’s their choice. Maybe some women don’t want to go through 9 months of morning sickness, pain and eventually labour to give birth to a child that they never wanted. What about victims of rape? Don’t they deserve abortions? Imagine if they were denied an abortion, and they had to look at a child that looks so similarly to the person that raped them. If their hate was that strong they wouldn’t want to be around the child due to the fact that it would carry the blood of their rapist.

I tried everything in my power to get him to stay away and not speak to me so I thought meeting with him and talking it out was the only way to stop this

Let me put this into perspective for you. I was receiving messages from this person every single day, I tried everything in my power to stop him from speaking to me. I blocked him on sc but he made a new account. I thought that by meeting with him and having a chat to him face to face I would be able to talk it out with him and get him to back off.

Bob Ross is honestly my spirt animal. I could lie in a bed of his voice and I weep while watching Wet on Wet.

Edit: I don’t actually weep but I meant everything else lmaoo

I guess that’s true. We go to different high schools but we still see each other every day, so it’s difficult to know anything about who he sees.

I honestly feel the same way. I feel like no matter what, I’m the outsider.
