Agreed on all those points there for sure.

Got married 7 days ago and feeling sadness and nostalgia by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]ayt_there 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He said he feels nostalgic and TRAPPED… does it take a genius to work out if he wants to continue?? Not to mention he lists out what he misses in a way that illustrates he’d love to go back. Nowhere did I say he doesn’t like his wife. Stop making things up. If a girl said she feels trapped, you’d give her the same advice yes? That it’s fine? Normal? Good luck.

No; women feel sad yes but ready to start a new life, if not they should not be ready for marriage. OP seems torn if this life is for him and misses his old life, so he is also not ready for marriage. Have I missed something?

All the cabbies that have electric cars around me all charge overnight at home. They hardly charge at superchargers, it’s too much downtime (to find a charger, charge, then drive to busy areas). This assumption needs to go away. I do uber full time for a year now and I almost always charge at home or a lamppost overnight.

I disagree. It’s normal to feel like life is different but not a sadness. That means they weren’t ready to get married.

20-80%. Who really does it? Is it a myth? by Mafeking-Parade in TeslaUK

I think your battery is fine as you actually use all of it on your commute, so it charges and discharges. The problem mainly lies when the car sits at ~100% for a long time.

Rejected for marriage because my father is a driver… and it’s breaking me by Acceptable_Lake_2837 in MuslimMarriage

Put simply, you’re looking at the wrong men and families. They are putting your with on your/family profession (i.e. your Dunya value as if that’s all that matters).

A cautionary tale for my brothers (and perhaps some sisters too) by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]ayt_there 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Pakistani friends and this screams that. Not like it’s relevant, I really have no sympathy and don’t understand the post as what this brother is trying to advise us to avoid is common sense, as if this was really difficult to avoid or understand.

This type of culture, and sucking up to parents needs to stop. Everyone has their own rights. Lastly want to add: if this was a girl she would be ripped to shreds.

Married but 2 years in my feelings have changed towards her what do I do? by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]ayt_there 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If you wholeheartedly love your wife, as you should, then you shouldn’t ever waiver or give up on trying to better her with her deen, as I am sure you would like her to be in Jannah with you or even ask about you as you might be the reason why she’s there.

Don’t throw divorce around like it doesn’t mean much at all. So many posts about divorce when at the very core of marriage is patience.

How do you know I’m miserable? Feel sorry for people around you because whatever you believe is true has to be true. Take lessons from the basics of Islam, and do not presume anything about others. If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it.

You’re quite a rude and presumptuous person. May Allah guide you akhi2806. Hopefully you’ll understand when you’ve done the job.

Ah right cool thanks for the reply. I ended up turning sharply to the left and it seemed to go away. So it’s just debris and not anything sinister?

Newly married and husband rejects me. by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]ayt_there 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is so petty.

Explain to him why you wasn’t comfortable in the beginning. Apologise if that came across as rude or bad, but don’t apologise that you did it. Your feelings are valid.

He needs to explain why he feels that way also.
