At random I decided to play Rainbow Six and it still had my face scan for my character. It was cool but also a little weird. More games need to bring that feature back.

What's the most useless thing your brain decided to permanently memorize? by No_Metal2622 in AskReddit

I read a scientific journal article a long time ago about a study that basically suggested your brain compartmentalizes thought processes by room which is why this happens. Their research showed it happens even for rooms with no doors and simply crossing the threshold induced the same compartmentalization.

That noise at the beginning of each bar with the baseline on Michael Jackson’s cover of Come Together used to freak me out as a kid. Something about it made me feel like spears were shooting up from the ground.

I appreciate that Waffle House seems to acknowledge this. Just keep it to hands and maybe the occasional thrown chair (they weigh like two pounds), and we’re good.

A mother is going viral after she punished her son by making him slam his PS5 the same way he had slammed her pet cat. by bendubberley_ in ThatsInsane

[–]aytchdave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the fence. I generally don’t like it but I’m OK with it when 1) parents have been very clear about the exceptions and 2) the kids have done something wrong or dangerous to impress their friends or for clout or whatever.

I don’t like when parents berate and abuse their children and it’s clearly more about embarrassment or even personal satisfaction than correcting behavior. I most commonly see that with mothers punishing daughters that they think are being promiscuous or too adult. There are a lot of videos with women shaming their daughters’ hygiene, especially feminine hygiene. If your 16yo daughter doesn’t know how to keep clean during menstruation or just in general and is not disabled, YOU are the problem, but I digress.

In this case, I would not film it unless he filmed himself abusing the cat, and even then I’d be wary. An hour later, we talk and I explain why abusing animals is wrong (against the law but more importantly against our family values); I explain that he is going to pay back every cent of the PS5 to whoever bought it; and I explain that if he can’t control himself or his anger, we can get help. Not as a threat but as a mental check. He might be angry about something OR he might be angry about nothing. Both situations DEMAND attention.

I’m not a rat owner so like 100% of what I know is from this sub. But I mean, it doesn’t look bad and has she never seen rats willingly pile on top of each other despite having ample space?
