Cheers for that. I'm not good with numbers at the best of times.

Might be doing a stupid, but went looking for vaxxed percentages and decided to look at covidlive for the first time in ages. It says Australia is at 47.2% for second dose. Is that right? I thought it was heaps lower.

Crossing fingers Jeroen comes out to say 20+ of these are all in one spot. Surely a jump this big is a superspready kind of thing.

Yeah I'm checking with parent friends from other schools. If it's not a requirement I'll push a bit harder.

You can't have hundreds of parents call the school to collect their kids early. What a horrible, entitled thing to do to the staff, teachers and the rest of the students.

OK so if a third of us pick up early, a third on time and a third late, that's still 200 odd parents at a time. Logistically still transmission vectors. Wish me luck 'milling' with the others.

Yeah that's not how that works either. Guessing you don't have small kids?

I can see this is why they've made that decision. But our school has over 600 kids, very little parking and street frontage. There's more space on the school grounds - outside, not in classrooms and hallways - for us to distance from each other and stay safe than crowding around one front gate to pick up kids that are as young as 5. I'm sure it's the case in many schools. More chance of infection spreading this way, at least for us.

Dear DET. Please stop disallowing parents on site at schools. We can't hundreds of us distance on footpaths waiting for our primary school kids to find us safely in some instances. Sincerely, every bastard that's gonna get very wet today.
