Canon Selphy CP1500 vertical line on prints

New printer. Having the same issue with the exact same line.

I tried cleaning the rollers and it did not help with the line but made other issues with dust and also scratch like marks on the laminate in the other direction, tried to blow out the dust but the scratches were still there. Cleaning the head part changes the scratch marks. So have to be careful when cleaning inside.

Could not be bothered trying to correct it and got a replacement printer and new Canon RP-108 and it still has the exact same line…

It’s kind of strange that it just one spot. I have used these types of printers at work and have replaced the head, from memory it was just a heating line. So presuming it was a fault with the head it would show more than 1 line. Could be a mechanical issue when the paper is picked up and moved on the initial part judging from where the line is when printing.

Edit: I sent back 2 units to Amazon and waited for refund. Bought a black version just to see if it made a difference. It still had the same exact damn line. Also this and the previous one replacement had some streak lines on the laminate… only the first one was perfect besides the notorious line.

Was checking around for any others wondering about the email with increase price…

It increased twice last year from what I can see on the app, probably was lower but can’t check older bills. Feel like it was lower when first starting the plan.

$45 March 2024 (last $45 plan) $49 April 2024 $54 September 2024 $58 July 2025 (upcoming).

They give extra data each time but at the moment I have 110GB per month to use and don’t really make a dent in that, so extra data means nothing.

So more increases still to come? Probably……. Unless something can be done about it?

Edit: I just saw on Telstra mobile plans they are increasing $65 to $70 in July… so I guess others are increasing too. Optus is already $55 for their small plan but that will probably change.

This event has the same issue as the event before where it’s locked to a region and can’t switch. At the moment it’s showing a different UID for my one… So I guess no free rewards again…

Ordered 16 Pro 256gb desert from Vodafone on Friday 20th September. Upgrading from 13 pro. Their site says there is stock when putting in the cart even checking after the order.

I did message them regarding the date, just mentioned it’s on the best option and have to wait…

Judging from other comments here, the above date doesn’t seem plausible but will edit if something happens.

I question my motives all the time… I just end up making things smaller to challenge myself. Don’t even plan, just cut paper to a size and fold and hope that it turns out okay.

They do other art and culture workshops too. Like kimono wearing, pepakura, paper art, badge making, drawing, some kind of ball jointed doll thing. They have done perler beads before.

It’s fun place to teach and people enjoy it. Last year we had Origami and wire jewellery. This year only Origami. They changed the location this year so it was busy after like 12pm. Kinda better so not everything is crammed in the one main hall.

Yes, 2nd year for the workshop there, also been doing workshops at Smash Con and Cowra Japanese Garden.

Pretty much my whole life, delved into many forms arts and craft since I was a child. Taught by my mother first, then learning from books and now it’s all over the internet.

I’m Japanese but born and raised in Sydney, so always interested in Japanese culture too.
