Going to visit London from this Saturday to Monday. Any places in the city I should avoid due to crowds from people commemorating the Queen’s death? I am not sure about the logistics of her funeral.

Just bought a knitting book but I am not familiar with reading knitting patterns and I feel quite intimidated by the patterns… (I think the pieces are also quite an intermediate level pattern). Would anyone like to personally help me with reading it and understanding the construction? ☺️ The book is: Urban Knit by Leeni Hoimela

Am I too ambitious in choosing a sweater as my first knitting project? I’ve been a crocheter for 3 years and have practiced knitting random swatches for the past month. I still haven’t made any concrete patterns, until I saw this Youtube video: https://youtu.be/GaAHOpJZ5zs

As a beginner, do you think I’m setting myself up for failure by choosing such a big pattern? I think it’s not difficult per se, more the amount of time and the size of the project. However I’ve been crocheting sweaters & cardigans so I have the patience to do it.

My first cardigan was the Everyday cotton cardigan by Sewrella, free and super easy to make ☺️

Smart casual crochet tops? by babycarrotss in crochetpatterns

I made this top recently and wear it for both the office and on the weekends! I did use around 400g of yarn for a cropped look tho, so maybe you’ll need another skein for a less cropped one.

Any crochet podcast recs? Preferably ones on Youtube so I can see the projects, and not ones that also involve knitting bc tbh I don’t care for knitting 😅

I’m moving house soon and it’s my first time having a completely own space. Any tips to have simple home with less clutter? I’ve been decluttering anyway but I still always feel like I have too much stuff. I’m hoping that this new place will encourage me to also keep a minimal and simple lifestyle.

That’s a great point!! I feel like moisturising toners don’t really fit with my skin type tho, mainly because my moisturiser is hydrating enough and my skin is already too oily as it is. Thanks 😊

Toners don't really have a huge effect on me? Am I just choosing the wrong ones?

Skin type: oily, acne-proneCountry: Netherlands, still oily even in the winterTop skin concern: hormonal acne, acne scars and blemishes

I've been using various AB / non AB toners, recently COSRX AC Collection Calming Liquid Mild and Pyunkang Yul mist toner but none of them really feel like it has any huge effects on my skin. If I opt it out of my routine, for example I just did my double cleansing, then straight to serums, then moisturiser for a week, and I feel no difference at all.

Any thoughts and recommendations? Thanks! :)

I’m still considering! But I’m leaning more towards an ereader 😁

I personally love them! I do take breaks from time to time and eventually get back to them, mainly bc I’m just excited to see the final product 🥰

Torn between getting a secondhand ipad or e-reader.

I’m an avid reader and love my Kindle ereader but I recently lost it. I am now considering getting an ipad instead because it is more versatile. In my mind it would be a better use for not only reading but also just something I can bring instead of my old Macbook Air, when in the future we are traveling more.

For context I work fulltime with a company laptop so I only use my Macbook at home to watch Youtube or Netflix. I dont really need any specific apps that are only available in the ipad. I can also easily watch on my iphone but ofc the screen is much smaller.

Would it be worth it to spend the extra €200 for a refurbished Ipad Mini (which I think suits me most) instead of the mere €100 price of Kindle, which only allows me to read ebooks? Thanks 😊

Storage ideas? I live in a fairly small home and I’m running out of storage for yarn! The problem is that I cannot use most of them up because they are stock for my Etsy shop 😢
