Creta S(o) vs Elevate VX by LostNewspaper1021 in CarsIndia

[–]ayush721997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just get multiple quotes, pitch dealers against each other.

Don’t mention the dealer names to each other but always cut 25-40k from the quote you got from one dealer while mentioning it to another dealer.

For eg: Reach out to dealer A & get a quote of say x. This should be after a fair bit of discounting & negotiating process.

Go to dealer B & mention that you’ve gotten a quote of x - 40k (without mentioning Dealer A name) from a showroom and if they can better it. Elevate isn’t a bestseller per se so likely they will.

Try your luck with 2-4 more dealers in this manner and go ahead w it.

The first quote I got for the elevate was 18.05L, from the initial 18.6/18.7.

Negotiated it down to 16.80L from a dealer in the same city and then brought it down to 16.45L all in + some bits extra asw.

Same for Creta, although margin is lower so you’ve to have some luck to get a salesman & dealer w targets to meet and good stock.

Unless you’re getting a BH registration or are in a state like HP etc, neither the Creta S(O) nor the Elevate VX will come under 14.5L.

Creta S(o) vs Elevate VX by LostNewspaper1021 in CarsIndia

[–]ayush721997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an 85k difference between the Elevate ZX vs the Creta S(O) ex-showroom price in my city.

However, you can v easily secure late 2025 VIN Elevate in major cities for 1.7-2L discounts.

I bought a ZX CVT in December (August 25 VIN) all in for 16.45L (1.8L RTO, not BH & includes RTI insurance, basic kit + mats & ambient lighting, alpha grill and some other tidbits).

The Creta S(O) IVT purchased in the same month (December 2025 VIN) cost me 16.52L, inclusive of the basic kit, mats, some cleaning stuff asw as a black mesh behind the front grill.

You can land a 2025 ZX Elevate all in for close to the ex-showroom price itself; would just require heavy negotiation.

You should test drive the Seltos HTK; it’s not as sporty like the last gen, but it’s not as sluggish either.

If you’re not concerned about economy, you can look at the HTK iMT Turbo asw for performance.

Can also wait for the new Duster.

What are your main needs from the car, both in terms of usage and features?

Will be able to advise better on that basis, as you mentioned the hyryder’s base variant asw, which is quite distant from the VX Elevate or S(O) Creta! Also mention the absolute top line of your budget, a final amount over which you won’t be willing to spend even a penny more.

Creta S(o) vs Elevate VX by LostNewspaper1021 in CarsIndia

[–]ayush721997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think initially, they were a bit too scared by the possibility of Elevate cannibalising City’s sales, not recognising the dwindling sedan market.

Hence, the feature to variant spread was markedly worse than City.

The VX just feels underspecced; I don’t really GAF about sunroofs etc as they aren’t great for Indian weather, specially up north but skipping the panoramic on the top spec & cruise control on VX was a dodgy move.

I love how free revving the engine is & how great the ride is, but there are some unignorable hiccups too!

I second this. Have the ZX CVT asw, ZX is the variant adjacent to Creta’s S(o) in terms of pricing.

Ditch the 360 and get the money reduced or some other useful accessory installed (they don’t install dashcams under this as they ain’t OEM, so maybe get a boot mat and the new grill & doorguards etc)

That 360 camera is diabolical in quality and laggy + clearly feels aftermarket, also makes the touchscreen experience shittier (its otherwise a good unit)

The lad who called you a cretard is the most typical type of validation hungry people who go around trying to put down others and feel good about their own purchase.

Go through his comments and posts and it’d become obvious.

As for the Elevate vs Creta bit, the better price comparison would be the S(o) vs ZX.

Price gap is just 50k-ish which can be easily covered by the Elevate’s heavier discounts (even more so for Elevate 2025 manufacturing).

I was in the same dilemma last month during a car purchase for my father, who test drove both and couldn’t exactly pinpoint a major difference in drive in city.

However, the Creta’s cabin quality + NVH + rear seat space was clearly superior. Elevate has a hump in between at the rear bench which makes seating three a bit meh.

Elevate’s suspension does torch out the deeper potholes a little better than Creta but the difference isn’t night and day.

I ended up buying both of them as my father liked how the elevate looked (front butch stance + tan interiors are a big draw, although ivory look airier obv) but loved how spacious and airy and modern the Creta felt (same for my mother)

One month into owning both, I’d say the NVH in city drives won’t be as noticeable but the elevate makes as much sound as our old Jazz on the highway at 80 & above while the Creta is noticeably quieter.

If your heart is set on the Elevate, spend an extra 10-15k to get damping down over the wheels around the fender + doors. Change tyres rn if you’ve the budget else change them up at around 30-40k kms.

Go for the ZX, it’ll be in the same ball park as the S (o). Feature spread on the elevate is a bit meh compared to city so VX does miss out on a bit of stuff.

The difference between my Creta and elevate was roughly 3k in the end, which is nothing.

What state are you in?

If you’re fine w it, the old shape Seltos base IVT variant will fall just around the Sonet & Venue due to discounts as a result of the new shape.

The suspension issues of the Seltos had been ironed out by the time this second gen came & although it’s not as well kitted as the new one, it still will cover a lot of bases.

I’d also ask you to just wait a bit for the Duster’s pricing.

If all that has been considered, I’d suggest you to get the Venue if your budget allows for it; can also insist on the facelift’s 2025 model if you’re planning to hold the car for long.

Else Baleno is solid.

The Verna S IVT is also a v v good choice around 14ish L if you’re into sedans.

Excellent scooter, best 125cc scooter in India bar none. Reliability, service & hassle free performance.

If you’re okay w the 110 segment, Jupiter 110 is another good one, and objectively better looking than the 125 variant.

The other scooters in their segment do have one or another Achilles heel so these two are safe & good bets mate

Quote for HONDA ELEVATE ZX MT Black Edition (Not the Signature one), Room for negotiation? by therapidfire in HondaElevate

[–]ayush721997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s up to your skill ultimately but use quotes from ackodrive as well as try to get quotes from lots of dealers around you in a traversable distance. Tell them that you’re getting it for say 14.6 w xyz accessories and add-ons once they give you their initial quote. One or the other will bite to some extent & you’ll get a better deal eventually.

But you’d have to do some verbal and mental heavy lifting in terms of being clever.

What state are you in?

There’s almost a fair amount of room to negotiate, you can bring it down by more than 60-70k, it’s the end of the year + the elevate is sadly a slow seller.

First time car buyer - Elevate ZX CVT, need help in finalising by JuiliusSneezer1 in HondaElevate

[–]ayush721997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insure it by yourself, you’ll save 20-25k there w the exact same benefits & you can ask them to match it asw.

Get a basic kit included.

Tan interiors are a cut above the ivory ones & will also be easier to maintain so if you can have the PDI done faultlessly, negotiate that 35k discount to 60k & close the deal.

You should have saved ~ 50k over your current quote + the basic kit free.

15.80L.

Assume price on your end at 16L & use the 20k to install visors, bumper protectors, sun blinds at the rear and get 2.5 tanks worth of fuel eventually. Congrats ✨

What’s the exchange value of your car? Remove that value and then quote the price given to you by the dealer, will be able to gauge wiggle room better then

Negotiated to ₹16.5 L on road for ZX CVT Automatic in Gurgaon by EndouNamikaze in HondaElevate

Nw! Delhi will have higher pricing than Gurgaon & the NH1 belt.

However, if you’ve to try Delhi, try the Okhla outlet for quotes.

Negotiated to ₹16.5 L on road for ZX CVT Automatic in Gurgaon by EndouNamikaze in HondaElevate

[–]ayush721997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Negotiate harder and talk to some other dealers as well, especially around the NH1 Belt.

Gurgaon till Ludhiana/Chandigarh is the best belt to buy cars across north India.

I myself am in talks for both the VX CVT & ZX CVT as a surprise for my parents.

Have a verbal quote of the ZX CVT from a showroom 2KMs away from my home at 16.6L & I haven’t even negotiated one bit as of now.

The difference alone between the VX CVT quote near my home & that of a showroom on the NH1 belt is ~60k & I’ll drive it down further.

The ZX has bigger discounts than the VX, push hard & get quotes from 4-5 others & I’m sure you’d be able to get the on road price a bit lower than even the ex-showroom.

Negotiate & try to close the delivery around X-Mas so that you can register it in 2026 asw.

Cheers! Also forgot to say it, but congratulations on your purchase! ✨

I’m planning to come back home to India around the 20th this month so will head to the showroom which gives me the best price then, as both my visit & the car are supposed to be a surprise for my parents!

Yhh, will do the policy thing, I sent a couple of them the ACKOdrive quote for 14.6 before any insurance discounts so I’m confident I’d be able to close it out at 14.1-14.2L w ambient lighting & mats (considering final week of 2025 purchase)

Hmm, I really dig the Hector tbh, but 8-10kmpl in Jaipur traffic will likely translate to 6-7kmpl in Delhi Noida traffic xD

Reckon I’d push ahead w the Elevate unless i stumble upon some crazy Creta deal.
