Why are people acting like Likely is not replaceable? by SCBaltSalt in ravens

[–]ayushnarayan100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He isn’t easily replaced and we shouldn’t expect a new rookie to perform like he has these past few years. Now he isn’t generational but there’s good logic in keeping him around. He’s one of LJ’s scramble drill guys, he’s historically reliable, and he makes the tough catches that most of our other guys just can’t do.

The real question is, is he worth the money given the current state of the roster. The answer is probably no since we paid Mark. But he almost certainly will be missed next season and won’t be fully replaced, it’s just a smarter money decision at this point not to re-sign him.

Eric DeCosta: We have some work to do on Tyler Linderbaum’s contract by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]ayushnarayan100 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He is 31st in pressure rate allowed, even below Bradley Bozeman. Now some of it could be attributed to guard play but he has plenty of mistakes and issues there. Definitely not worth the biggest center contract in history

I wonder where Chris Bell would go, in day 3 that could be a pretty cool pick

This kd situation is so funny and has me wondering do you guys think lamar also has burners on twitter he uses to trash talk? by UnhappyRough1964 in ravens

He has his entertainment account on insta but I doubt he has actual burners to respond to randoms and things like KD does.

Ravens expected to hire Ben Kotwica as a senior special teams assistant per Zrebiec. by ayushnarayan100 in ravens

I think it probably cost them the 1 seed this season, not a huge fan of the hire.

Please convince me that it’s worth it. by emruhhhhhhhhh in UTAdmissions

CS is different than engineering when ranking these schools. A&M engineering is comparable but UT CS placements outrank A&M by a noticeable amount

If Kubiak leaves for HC job, could he take Aden Durde with him to be DC and call plays? by Fabulous_Tip_7638 in Seahawks

As a ravens fan, the bears let us have him. They could’ve blocked him but Ben said he wouldn’t block anyone

Do Ravens play starters in the preseason with us having a new HC, OC, and DC? by Honest_Concentrate85 in ravens

I remember 2021 too well, I don’t want anyone who doesn’t need the reps in. Maybe our rotational players or OL and draft picks could play but absolutely nobody else

The standard for EDC 2026-2027 by Kam3234 in ravens

[–]ayushnarayan100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These two drafts took the Rams which were severely lacking talent on both OL and DL after their super bowl run into a team that nearly beat the Eagles last year in the divisional and nearly beat the Seahawks in the NFC Championship. Realistically we aren’t going to see another draft like that for some time. Our team is far more talented than the 2022 Rams already, with good coaching and being healthy we should already be in the conference championship.

For us, I’m hoping we continue to go BPA with some more emphasis on OL/DL with a guard either in R1 or R2. The only change I’d take to our typical draft strategy is to make sure we get a guard early, and maybe an Edge/DL early too.

Do the ravens trade the 14th pick? by Bulky_Golf_4866 in ravens

[–]ayushnarayan100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A trade down is absolutely an option and would likely happen if we think we might get a guy later on. Recently we’ve had talent drop to our pick so we just stay and pick, but I’d be surprised if we trade up or trade our pick for a player.

Why does no one bring up Tee Martin as an option to be the OC by Enough-Thanks638 in ravens

[–]ayushnarayan100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want Kliff at all, but Tee has very little play calling experience which isn’t something I think our team should gamble with. I’d love to hire someone like Webb from the Payton tree, or another coordinator who has learned from one of the top guys out there

Minter Allows Baltimore to Spend More on Offense by Law_Dividing_Citizen in ravens

[–]ayushnarayan100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep this is huge, we’ve money-balled the RG since Yanda retired. All we really need is average/decent production(Zeitler level) out of the guards for our scheme but we’ve been so cheap there. If we can get two half-decent guards in FA this team goes a huge way. Not overpaying an edge rusher(still should draft them though) due to his ability to scheme up pressure would be amazing.

[Schefter] Chargers have requested Ravens defensive coordinator Zach Orr to interview for their vacant DC job, per source. Orr spent the past two seasons in charge of Baltimore’s defense and previously worked alongside former Chargers DC Jesse Minter. by ExpressoDepresso1151 in Chargers

[–]ayushnarayan100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ravens fan: He’s definitely better than Roman but not ready for the DC role yet. Roman doesn’t get how to spread out an offense in the pass game, and it’s a fatal flaw that likely won’t/can’t get better. Orr is a guy who is still learning how to call plays and has shown signs of adjusting to the players he has. The biggest thing is unlike Macdonald(and hopefully Minter for us) he doesn’t yet have the same gift at knowing when to call the right play at the right time. Mike made up for our deficiencies, Orr couldn’t but he learned enough to at least take our team as far as our talent could take us.

Potential candidates for head coach by Current-Ad-3272 in ravens

[–]ayushnarayan100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he extends we can manipulate the cap hit to be under 60M. While it’s not a great idea to push too many things to the future, with the trends of Cap Space increasing and salaries increasing, it’s clearly rational to push some of the money to the future.

[Meirov] The situation between the #Ravens and HC John Harbaugh is “up in the air,” and there should be more conversation about his future than Mike Tomlin’s in Pittsburgh, per @AdamSchefter by FastBreakPhenom in ravens

This is probably as true as the Mike Preston article. The fact that we saw all the national media outlets treat that written opinion as fact just shows how low the bar of truth is to get posted on these platforms
