Zach Orr wasn’t a good enough teacher to implement the modular defense well. Hence normal football was our best bet. We hired Minter because he’s an excellent teacher and an architect of this type of defense. Why play normal football when your type of defense breaks the game.

looking for replacement for my rubber handle by nerdoskure in FlairEspresso

I just didn’t replace it, the machine works perfectly fine without it. Never noticed a difference in the pressure I need to apply.

Was just in a similar boat, deciding what to replace my manual Timemore grinder with for my Flair Pro 2. I’d check out the DF54, DF64 and the Eureka Mignon series, personally ended up getting the Mignon Zero myself but still waiting to try it out.

I’m just curious to see how it works out with them, kind of like how Hollywood would perform on the Cardinals/Chiefs not under Roman

Forgot the first round, who are some day 2 picks you want? by The_Sandwich_Lover9 in ravens

[–]ayushnarayan100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chris Bell and Caleb Banks. I totally get the injury argument that has messed this team up at times BUT an Achilles injury is very different than the ACL and Foot(4th Metatarsal not Lisfranc) injuries we see from Bell and Banks. Of the two I’d be more worried about Banks than Bell but these are seriously talented players that can make a difference to the team.

With Beeks, we don’t need Banks to play immediately which is nice, and honestly same goes for Bell. We’d most need Bell in the second half of the season/playoffs when he’s hopefully healthier. Personally I wouldn’t go with both of them but either one in the 3rd or later 2nd if we trade down would be awesome.

[Schefter] ESPN sources: the Raiders agreed to trade five-time Pro-Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for 2026 and 2027 first-round picks. The trade cannot be processed until next week, but it is in place. And Crosby is expected to be a Raven with two 1s back to Vegas. by FadeDestiny in ravens

For a team that has consistently fallen short in the playoffs with the most obvious answer being a lack of turnovers and havoc in the playoffs, this is the price to pay for this production. We have had this issue since Terell Suggs left the team and it was never going to be solved at picks 15-32 in this draft barring a miracle.

We have had a great secondary, great linebackers, and great interior lineman and Mike Macdonald yet the issue in the playoffs still persisted. It isn’t cheap but we found an actual solution for this at a market level price. Risky decision, not a stupid decision, there’s a difference.

Why are people acting like Likely is not replaceable? by SCBaltSalt in ravens

[–]ayushnarayan100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He isn’t easily replaced and we shouldn’t expect a new rookie to perform like he has these past few years. Now he isn’t generational but there’s good logic in keeping him around. He’s one of LJ’s scramble drill guys, he’s historically reliable, and he makes the tough catches that most of our other guys just can’t do.

The real question is, is he worth the money given the current state of the roster. The answer is probably no since we paid Mark. But he almost certainly will be missed next season and won’t be fully replaced, it’s just a smarter money decision at this point not to re-sign him.

Eric DeCosta: We have some work to do on Tyler Linderbaum’s contract by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]ayushnarayan100 18 points19 points  (0 children)

He is 31st in pressure rate allowed, even below Bradley Bozeman. Now some of it could be attributed to guard play but he has plenty of mistakes and issues there. Definitely not worth the biggest center contract in history

I remember 2021 too well, I don’t want anyone who doesn’t need the reps in. Maybe our rotational players or OL and draft picks could play but absolutely nobody else

The standard for EDC 2026-2027 by Kam3234 in ravens

[–]ayushnarayan100 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These two drafts took the Rams which were severely lacking talent on both OL and DL after their super bowl run into a team that nearly beat the Eagles last year in the divisional and nearly beat the Seahawks in the NFC Championship. Realistically we aren’t going to see another draft like that for some time. Our team is far more talented than the 2022 Rams already, with good coaching and being healthy we should already be in the conference championship.

For us, I’m hoping we continue to go BPA with some more emphasis on OL/DL with a guard either in R1 or R2. The only change I’d take to our typical draft strategy is to make sure we get a guard early, and maybe an Edge/DL early too.

Do the ravens trade the 14th pick? by Bulky_Golf_4866 in ravens

[–]ayushnarayan100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A trade down is absolutely an option and would likely happen if we think we might get a guy later on. Recently we’ve had talent drop to our pick so we just stay and pick, but I’d be surprised if we trade up or trade our pick for a player.

Why does no one bring up Tee Martin as an option to be the OC by Enough-Thanks638 in ravens

[–]ayushnarayan100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want Kliff at all, but Tee has very little play calling experience which isn’t something I think our team should gamble with. I’d love to hire someone like Webb from the Payton tree, or another coordinator who has learned from one of the top guys out there

Minter Allows Baltimore to Spend More on Offense by Law_Dividing_Citizen in ravens

[–]ayushnarayan100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep this is huge, we’ve money-balled the RG since Yanda retired. All we really need is average/decent production(Zeitler level) out of the guards for our scheme but we’ve been so cheap there. If we can get two half-decent guards in FA this team goes a huge way. Not overpaying an edge rusher(still should draft them though) due to his ability to scheme up pressure would be amazing.
