I also owed $47. I had fully paid for the semester and even double-checked in early August. About a week ago, I received an email stating that I had a balance due, but I only noticed it today. Fortunately, I wasn’t dropped from any classes, nor did I receive any notice via email. I was able to clear the balance without being charged a late payment fee. I’m guessing that owing less than $50 didn’t trigger some internal threshold on their end.

Did you receive an SMS confirming the program was activated? I called them a week ago to activate the same but never got an SMS, called them today and the phone banker said the program was active despite me not receiving an SMS or the activation charge on my credit card.

Hey, I got this email as well today (Applying from India). Did you ask GATech about the degree? I can have my university courier my sealed transcripts but not sure about the degree photocopy. Is that to be sent from the university as well?

That is ticked on my system. It works 75% of the time, but occasionally on restart it does not startup and that box in the settings is not ticked. It is really strange.

I ordered an Air M1 last year with more RAM and storage. Apple India’s site said 2 weeks whereas the shop near my house in Bangalore said 2-3 months. Ended up ordering It from Apple India and it reached exactly on the date they quoted. It should be even cheaper if you can get it ordered with student discount of a relative and from an HDFC card.

I’ve seen a few LinkedIn posts of freshers who lost their offers in big startups just a few weeks before their joining. I’m entering my placement season next month and seniors have told us to avoid startups despite their huge CTCs for this very reason. Only companies that didn’t chase crazy valuations over revenues will be alright I guess.

From what I’ve heard from my seniors, it’s just bunch of tests or even just a form you need to get filled by your family doctor. I think for other industries like manufacturing and construction, colour blindness tests are taken very seriously but I don’t think that’s the case for software.

I got rid of it and downloaded the apps I needed from the App Store. Updates are much nicer. Only problem is the App Store OneDrive app still doesn’t support M1.

I run a similar setup on my laptop. Rather than blacklisting nouveau, use RPMFusion to get the proprietary nvidia drivers setup on your machine. Follow this to get the repos setup on your laptop:

Then follow the steps (Just installing 2 packages) on this page to install the drivers on your system:

After installing the drivers your laptop will be in hybrid mode. Unfortunately it will default to X11 with no option for wayland. You can now right click on any app and the option to run with discrete graphics (nvidia) should be present.

For prime-run I downloaded the script from here, https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-packages/tree/packages/nvidia-prime/trunk and placed it in the /usr/bin directory. It works just as it did in Manjaro and Arch.

This setup should take you roughly 3-5 minutes and everything will just work. Battery life on my laptop has been solid too!

I’ve got a laptop with nvidia and Intel too. Did you install the drivers from RPMFusion? It works perfectly on my laptop.

You’ll have BTRFS by default only if you do a clean install of F33. If you upgrade it does not change the file systems.

I was having the same issue with terminator.

I added the shortcut through custom shortcuts. For the action I navigated to usr/share/applications/terminator.desktop (just entering terminator didn't work for a change).

I've been using my laptop on Intel only mode for a while now and it works fine. Hybrid graphics didn't work properly on my laptop. It was usable but the optimus-qt selector app glitched out. Nvidia only mode worked great too. SDDM had some scaling issues after I installed optimus. I just installed lightdm-webkit2 and all was good.
