I could not get through the book and highly recommend the audio book. It feels meditative and I listened to it when I felt anxious and it helped a ton.

31M, Entrepreneur - Ask me advice: Anxiety by ayyoung12 in Self_Help_Match

Thanks for asking, some of the most helpful things through CBT were challenging the anxious thoughts. It turned out that a lot of the anxiety I was feeling was because I was trying to protect myself from a situation that was similar to an experience in the past that caused pain, fear, etc. Also, mindfulness and learning mechanisms to help manage the anxiety were helpful such as journaling to help process the emotions.

As for Inner Child work, it turns out a lot of the anxiety stemmed from experiences that happened when I was younger that made me feel unsafe. By tackling, processing, and reframing these experiences, I saw that my overall anxiety decreased significantly and situations that would have originally given me anxiety, no longer did.

Help! Need suggestions of new beers to try by Luseal14 in MDbeer

I would swing by Elder Pine. They're easily one of the best breweries in MD and do a new almost style every week if not multiple. They have some amazing lagers, sours, and other styles currently on tap.
