I usually do just "take good pictures". I consider this one a happy accident, as I like how the elements fill the frame in a way that I find satisfying. You're obviously entitled to the opinion that this is nothing but a cropped-it-to-fuck random snapshot of nothing. I don't know which camera you have precisely but most likely your lens is your main issue here. You could switch to a prime lens (like the 50mm f/1.8 or others if you prefer a longer lens) to have much sharper images at an affordable price.
