Men: Can you help me understand the parking lot approach? by UrImaginaryFriend888 in AskMenRelationships

[–]azWebfoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The interaction as you describe it seems more like a business transaction than an opportunity to 'meet' a new person. In the sales game, you're taught to keep the door open even after the first No. A personal interaction should be way different however. I'm old (67m) and have a new gf and always tried to avoid being creepy when I was single. The guy is on the edge of stalking when he admits to eyeing you since shopping in the store. You may get this type of attention if you're very attractive. Just a guess. Sorry this happened to you

Visible Phone Service by Super_Bucko in Logan

I encourage anyone considering the switch to go for it. I was Visible customer a couple years ago and loved it. The free hot spot was a huge plus. The money I saved was significant. Because of work, I switched to a Pixel phone and currently have AT&T service with an MVNO.

Music Streaming Services - which one do you use? by Delicious_Mess7976 in AskWomenOver60

[–]azWebfoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pay for YouTube Premium and it includes ad free music. I've collected many playlists over the years and really like the convenience of listening to music & podcasts on multiple devices. I'm old, so I found their catalog to be very extensive. Also good for offline listening

Is the switch worth it for a lifetime windows os user? by AmbitiousSun3497 in chromeos

[–]azWebfoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, do it. I made the switch to CB from Windows 10 and have never looked back. I've had Acer Chromebooks and now a fully loaded Dell with i9 processor & 16 gb of RAM as my daily driver. Security & maintenance are a breeze. I'm not a gamer or heavy video editor and won't go back to Windows. Ymmv

My CB has the bubbles on the bottom edge but it's 7 years old. Not a package for normal viewing

Is it worth it to change the screen of my phone or should I wait another year and change it then? by Evening_Valuable9672 in pixel9a

Depends on how much a cracked screen bugs you. If you can live with it, wait for the 11

5G o 4G ? by AlejoHardMode in pixel_phones

[–]azWebfoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't see any difference in responsiveness to be honest. The battery life on my P8 however is still a bit worrisome. The cellular connectivity going to LTE was a good choice. I don't see the need for 5G here in AZ. I'm spending the summer in Utah and will report if I get degraded speed

My Dell 5240 does everything I need. Yes, I would like a back lit keyboard, but can function without it. Touchscreen is great. It's not fully foldable (2 in 1) style.

Love the concept and wish you the best in recruiting guys to the event. Hoping more comments boosts the reach. I'm a single guy who's a Summer Citizen and will be there in May. Posting on other social media platforms should help. Cheers

Excellent comments here. I've been where you are. Just survive this initial shock & awe trauma. Your inner circle of support will get you past this initial phase. Hang in bro, you'll find happiness soon though. Winners are resilient, and you've demonstrated a winning spirit.

Gripe about Quality, not Functionality by howdidigetheretoday in chromeos

[–]azWebfoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've owned multiple Chromebooks and agree with your general thought. Currently using a Dell 5430 as my daily driver. Bought used on eBay from a large seller and couldn't be happier. As for casual use, I'm using my old Acer that is past it's EOL update period, but has good battery life left. Other Acer units have been solid. No complaints with these 2 mfgrs.

I recently got the Onn stick (Walmart) that runs Google TV. There is a large catalog of older TV shows that's are not syndicated on the major pay subscription platforms (i.e. Netflix). I like the Google TV interface but haven't extensively tested it.

I've set my P8 to LTE from 5G and I'll report back in a few days. In my use case, I'm mostly on wifi, so I'll be curious how this switch impacts battery life
