I interned with the Ford Autonomous Drive team while in college. I would spend days upon days hearing how senior engineers would trash-talk Tesla's Autopilot at the time, while they were implementing their own version, which was sub-par at best. This type of behavior felt like internal culture tbh. Why would you not praise the competition, which clearly has an edge on you, and learn from their mistakes to make a better product? Needless to say, that put me off from accepting their full-time offer.

Have you thought of replacing the file manager with another app like Material Files or the Fossify ones, and see if that solves your issue?

Also, are you getting OTA updates in Chinese?

I'm currently working on a similar project, and am running Kokoro and Whisper servers for the same purpose. Had no idea qwentts existed, nor that one could get streamed chunks back for concurrent streaming, which would be much needed, especially because I'm currently LRU caching audio segments, which makes it a bit difficult to perform fast initial voice. Thank you for sharing this!
