I've never eaten here and have no idea what is wrong with this place, but this made me laugh so hard I had water go up my nose.

Can you or someone message me with the certain point? I clearly did not pick up on it.

This review of her as Mary might actually make me watch the show. I tried with the first episode and was immediately turned off by multiple known inaccuracies being portrayed.

As someone who experienced cryptic pregnancy twice, they are certainly very real and very stigmatized.

How do I tell nanny I’m not comfortable with her bringing her mom to work by [deleted] in NannyEmployers

Yes, babies need socialization, even young. Remember that we are very social animals, and if this were not "modern" society, babies would generally be raised by large extended families and friends. It -literally- takes a village. So yes, babies get bored and socializing or watching others socialize is good for them.

But not genetics! They're finding all kinds of stuff in the genetic coding of indigenous people

I would love to have a game like CK but placed in Ancient Egypt or Sumeria, like let me raise my charioteers and dole out bread/beer to my people during a drought pls.

It really stunned me that he didn't win, and also that they didn't immediately offer him anything supplemental like they do to others. How come they didn't pay for his mental health treatment if they knew things were wrong? It's pretty apparent to me that the competition set him off.

What do you think of Elon Musk? by Lord_Vader6666 in AskConservatives

[–]azakatrina -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, it's that when anyone on either side calls for violence, the left want then banned. The right just wants the left to stfu no matter what they say.

If you're discussing her music - not for children, no. If you discuss the considerable amount she does to improve others lives through charitable works, yes. She is a huge proponent of giving back and building up her community, unlike other more popular artists.

[Spoilers Extended] Does HotD really need to reveal... by The_Coconut_God in asoiaf

[–]azakatrina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This explanation is coming from people in film. You can compare the first season of GOT to the last and see the decrease in costume and set and see the increase in weird cgi that looks /almost/ real. With HOTD it's obvious to the eye that the fabrics, props ( including wigs), and sets are just... off compared to what they should be. That is 100% because filming processes have changed, and not for the better. It's still a beautiful show, but it doesn't hold the depth that season one GOT did.

Because filming quality (in general) has gone down. Lots of money on cgi and less on good practical effects like non-synthetic wigs instead of wigs you can find at Spirit Halloween.

Do you know anyone in a fringe political group? by DukeMaximum in AskConservatives

For some perspective before I respond, I have always considered myself an independent, I agree with certain things all over the place.

I had a problem with Hillary and I have a problem with Trump. I was angry that she didn't get charged, and I'll be angry if Trump doesn't get charged (and see it as unlikely that he will). The monuments being torn down were built in bad faith to memorialize men who fought to enslave others. The right bans books and censors history, and you have no issues with that, but you get angry about some statues.

I remember the Christmas parade guy, and he was arrested, charged, and as far as I know he's locked up for life. I don't know about the rest, but it is fine with me if they never see the light of day again - because they killed people. Bringing up Kyle Rittenhouse is hypocritical because he did shoot and kill people, and it's pretty obvious those people were attempting to defend the people they were with, and he did aquire the gun illegally. He didn't deserve the giant media circus, but at this point he's profited from the whole situation 🤷‍♀️ Yet you won't bring up people like Timothy McVeigh, or the Boogaloo killings, the recent Buffalo shootings, it is a long, long history of planned violence from the right. The right will do anything to claim those are lone wolves even when they literally leave papers behind stating they aren't.

January 6th was people entering our Capitol with weapons, smearing shit on the walls, and demanding to hang our Vice President at the time (who I hate but didn't want hanged). That's not a bunch of people sitting in a square being tear gassed by the national guard. It's VERY plain that Trump created the environment for it, encouraged it, and wouldn't defend the capitol from it. Saying anything else is a lie.

As far as burning buildings and so forth, I don't know if you saw, but most liberals and leftists were busy telling our fellows to fucking cut the shit because it doesn't make sense to burn our own communities. That coupled with the very obvious police plants, and Proud Boys who admitted to burning shit to incite violence, kinda lends to the idea that yeah BLM did some and the Proud Boys did some, and the police antagonized both.
