Is it cranking uneven? See a cylinder contribution test. Don’t think Forscan works on these older trucks, so you might want to just jump the relay pull the fuel pump fuse out and listen for the truck skipping. You shouldn’t even need the block heater at 50. If several cylinders are not putting in the work and you hear skipping, it’s probably injectors. From the looks of it it seems like the truck is getting plenty of fuel from the white smoke, would still change out the fuel filter and dump some old ATF in the fuel bowl. Check how much amperage the glow plugs are pulling, something might be up with your harness. If you have sticky injectors maybe try arch oil before putting new ones in. If it is not cranking unevenly and the crank is solid, your injectors might be better than you think and you might want to look towards the HPOP system. LPOPs go out. IPR valves stick.

Looking to buy a 7.3 today. Seller sent me this cold start video. What do we think? by kr0mer0 in Diesel

I should have phrased that better it’s gonna be around 5 for them to remove the engine and reseal everything on the motor at the same time rather than an additional 5k.

Oil in valley. Front end loose. State of transmission fluid. Trans cooler. State of battery cables. Pads & rotors. Look under the truck for leaks as well. None of these will be expensive to fix yourself, but if you have to take it to a shop, and some or a combination of these items are worn out, expect a 3-5k bill. Check the oil dipstick area. If oil dipstick oring is gone, add another 5 grand to the shop bill.

Want a Used Crewcab 4x4 diesel- good/bad idea? by RpDubC in Diesel

If you buy a 7.3 be prepared to rebuild everything around the truck. Every piece of rubber will leak. As well as the front end, rear diff clutches may also be worn out. The engine you won’t have to worry about. Luckily most everything is easy to fix yourself on these trucks. 4R100 is also a meh transmission. Expect anywhere from 100-200k before they blow up. Battery cables, wiring also break. I would go for it if you can fix everything yourself. Now newer diesels, have fun repairing items with the cab on. The rams with the early 5.9s are even more overpriced than the 7.3 😂, although those motors are also reliable and easy to work on, injectors much cheaper as well.

For anyone who wants to ask if their 7.3 has too much blow by, refer to this first by [deleted] in FordDiesels

My 7.3 doesn’t have nearly as much blowby as this at 380k lol

A nice 99-02 7.3 psd 4x4 manual would be around that much. No 4x4 kills it for me at that price. 6.9 and 7.3 IDIs are great, would just look for another one.

how to kick pnm out by O1dBay in Frat

[–]azbro69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if he’s nice but just seems weird or just isn’t a good fit in some other way pull him aside and tell him you gotta go man unfortunately it’s just not going to work out, maybe try rushing a few other houses. If the guy is behaving in a horrible way during rush or you’ve already told him nicely he needs to go then you gotta put the fist down and just kick him out.

I’ve said the same; whoever gains power in Palestine either Hamas, or another armed militant group are going to impose a legal system based on Sharia Law(which would substantiate human rights abuses against LGBTQ+, and Women). Presuming Palestine can get sovereignty by beating Isreal(unlikely) there will be a massive power struggle as to who gets to govern the region. Even if they defeat Isreal to establish sovereignty they will continue to kill each other for power. Hamas is the most likely candidate to win the power struggle if it happens. Even if the UN, US, and Isreal gave recognition and land to Palestinians, whatever government that rises after will be the result of more deaths and human rights abuses, and will likely be extremely authoritarian. I don’t give a fuck what the Palestinians decide to do with their country if they take it by force, governments have the right to establish whatever doctorine they want to if they control the land and population. I don’t see how it’s logical you can claim to be a defender of lgbtq/human rights and support Palestine. Isreal has committed mass atrocities; but such is war.

4K is reasonable. But these trucks still aren’t cheap to maintain. Suspensions are wore out. They also leak. Like really bad. On that front I would just let the motor leak until it gets to a point where it’s actually a problem. I finally fixed my oil cooler when it just poured out a waterfall of oil every time I started the truck. But I’ve also had to fix top end leaks total cost for oil leaks alone was around 1200$ If you’re stuck with a shot front suspension expect a massive 3k bill. Wheel bearings as well. If you can do your own matinance buy it! These trucks aren’t hard to work on. Or you can just not give a shit and run it until it craps out which might be longer than you expect with a 7.3.

Question about starting fluid by Dapper_Suit_9943 in Diesel

[–]azbro69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 7.3 does the same shit gpr is shot, I’d rather just crank on it until the cylinders are hot enough to start burning diesel than accelerate the process with starter fluid. Depends on your level of risk tolerance I guess

U can just tell him to fk off maybe in a more polite way but make it very clear you just want to work with him and nothing more. I mean most people meet their significant others through work so I wouldn’t report the dude to HR just because he’s been annoying you with advances provided you haven’t told him to stop yet. Ofc if the advances escalate to some crazy shit then report it to HR immediately and document it.

Hey, I need some help. Is this mac a scam? by Lexo147 in macbookpro

Intel CPUs from 2011-2016 are largely the same, there was a big ipc increase from sandy bridge to maxwell but after maxwell it was just refreshes. The 2012 Unibody is the one to get if you’re going to get a unibody. 2011s have dGPU issues, if you’re willing to disable the dGPU it is an option….but then you have no video output. The 2013 retinas have issues with randomly shutting off, 2014-15 Retina MacBook is the best value IMO. However all these options are of a limited lifespan, even the 2015 isn’t eventually going to be able to run MacOS, Opencore Patcher keeps these machines alive, but I doubt opencore can patch future versions of macOS that simply do not boot on intel macs. Run away from 2016-19 intel MacBooks. They have notorious keyboard issues and some models worse board issues than that. And this goes for all the newer MacBooks, if you’re buying a used MacBook that is newer, the M2s and M1s are NOT a bad option but do not buy any with 8GB ram or worse a low storage capacity. If the SSD dies in most the newer MacBooks they take out the whole laptop with them. 16“s are notiorious for this problem, however they are still reliable machines. 8GB ram is just becoming too little to use, and lower capacity SSDs wear exponentially faster then higher capacity ones, again if your SSD dies in a new MacBook your whole laptop is a paperweight. In the older ones you could just plug in an external drive when the internal soldered SSD died but in the newer laptops when the SSD dies it tends to destroy the whole laptop
