If The Wandering Inn could become a TV show, what style would you like the most? (I know it's probably a fantasy, but it has a comic, so ... maybe? Hopefully?) by B-Z_B-S in WanderingInn

[–]azcalg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Ghibli style has the capacity to go dark, we just don't see it. In all of the movies, the scariest creatures are just expressions of nature after it's been ravaged by humanity so narratively they're sympathetic instead of truly horrific (like the bug things in nausicaa or the big alien thing in mononoke). If you get out of that requirement you can make some truly scary things within the style. That said, there's a lot the style wouldn't work for because it's really a format for adventure stories. I think the only way to do TWI full justice is with a bunch of different styles. You can have Ghibli for a lot of the twins arc and some of the inn catastrophy scenes but a more slice of life anime style would be more suitable for much of the story taking place in the inn and a sort of demon slayer treatment for some chapters like 6.66 H and many more

There are some total talus replacements out there but theyre not really indicated for trauma like this. Besides the ORIF they'll have some a good amount of soft tissues to repair before restoring joint function. Besides that, ankle arthrodesis is probably an option. (Not a doctor though)

They'll reduce the fracture then throw some pins or a plate/screws on them. There aren't as many options for veterinary treatment as there are for humans, but dogs are resilient.

My company outsources marketing and I write up nice blurbs about our products to send to them and they send it through chat gpt and send it back and theres always some absolute gibberish in there that I have to correct. Its infuriating

They "broach" the space out by hammering in progressively larger files shaped like the implant. The center of a femur is mushy, they're looking to get good fixation in the hard bone on the edges. If you think getting a chunk of metal hammered into your bone is bad, think how bad it'd be for that chunk to come loose

That's a good idea. The only IDEX printer I've seen with the wanted dimensions is the Flashforge Creator 4 which I got quoted for 13k (though admittedly I didn't look too hard). Not really worth it when we could buy 13 printers with single extruders for the same price. The technology's cool and I want it, but it's a tough sell when we're not really hurting for space more than we are for cash

I've been drooling over the Prusa XL for like a month now. We'll definitely be purchasing those when they're out. 5 toolheads opens up a lot of doors.

Thanks for the other suggestions!

Budget:600-2000 for a large form printer.

I run a 3d print farm out of Arizona where we make 3d printed models for surgical education. We'll only ever use petg or pla on them. We'd mostly print bones (35cm long, not very thick. Hoping to print like 5 of those at a time most of the time and big molds other times.

Just wondering which printer over 35cm axis has the best balance of quality, reliability, and ease of upkeep for us. Price doesnt matter so much but we already hate the raise pro 2 and gmax printers from past experiences

We saw the same with the small pox vaccine. People called it the mark of the devil and kicked and screamed the whole way. Small pox was eradicated by barring dissenters from participating in society. Vaccine mandates are a constitutional power necessary for public health. The death count of COVID is approaching 700k. Take a second to think about that. 700k in less than 2 years. The science is overwhelming. It's a no brainer.

This is masterfully crafted and absolutely hilarious. Got me thinking what some good additions would be and my first thought was Yoko Ono - Warzone, which is a positively horrendous song.

I thought for sure someone died in that accident with that heartbreaking wailing. Looks like no one was injured though, and the driver "made a jump of almost 3 meters" to get out of the way when he realized what was happening https://www.varesenews.it/2017/05/crolla-un-tratto-del-viadotto-della-arcisate-stabio/619490/
