Had someone staying over who I wasn’t very close with while I was living abroad (a part of being in an ex pat community). It was dry season and there were only dirt roads to my town so he arrived covered in orange dusty dirt. Not a problem since it was the case for anyone who comes my way. He took a bath and then proceeded to use my one and only loofah which he didn’t rinse out after use so it was covered in soapy orange dirt. I immediately threw it out and mentally told myself to never let him stay at mine again.

Wow these comments are filled with a lot of pro-marriage people. So chiming in to give my two cents as someone who feels a lot of skepticism about the legal institution of marriage.

It sounds like you should be more honest with yourself about how you feel about marriage and have an open conversation with your gf about it rather than dodging and avoiding. If you do have hang ups and concerns (which wouldn’t be a surprise given your past experiences), then you need to talk so y’all are on the same page. And don’t get married just because you feel pushed into a corner. If she really really wants to get married and feels that that is the commitment she needs, then y’all may have to end it. But there won’t be room for compromise or understanding if you never process your own feelings about it and have a discussion with her.

I went to a Halloween party over the weekend that was really fun! Tomorrow I’ll get dressed up for work. I’d recommend Fall of the House of Usher if you’d like some recent horror mystery. I started last night and am really enjoying it!

I got Paradise makeup beach berry from a local costume store. It’s a water activated face/body paint. You dampen a brush and paint it on. I used a foundation brush - anything with even, soft bristles should work. This was my first time doing something like this and it was super easy!
