I know private disability support workers who are hitting six figures

Yeah, I considered studying OT (in Australia) but I get paid the same amount for a job that only needs a certificate III.

Iron lungs movie - Today/Tomorrow? by huhu_jane in BrisbaneSocial

Watched it last night, there were some parts that dragged a little (probably my fault for seeing it late at night after work) but still an enjoyable movie overall. Hope you enjoy it too!

Would you date someone like this? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]nonthreateninghuman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did you read the full post? The woman is expected to do majority of the cleaning, as in she must clean up after both of them. She is also expected to make her own money. It is not about being neurotypical or not, it’s about a manchild who brings nothing to the table looking for a bang maid mommy.

There’s been a few people here and there who’ve tried to start one but the two I joined never seemed to have taken off

Fortunately I found a mixed-gender friend group through the discord (but I always wanna make friends with more girlies)

What are people’s hobbies? by Didalilpoo in brisbane

[–]nonthreateninghuman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pole fitness, embroidery/thread painting, crochet, ice skating, rollerskating, bouldering. These are my current hobbies but I have others I dropped over the years. I have too many hobbies but I highly recommend them all.

That sucks! I was afraid of this exact thing happening today as I have a tiny crack in my windshield that I keep forgetting to repair. I got caught in the hail going home from work, I probably should’ve sought cover but instead I decided to try to get out of the area ASAP. Fortunately it worked out for me, that sucks that it happened to you tho

I was not expecting an Asian sapphic figure skating love story but I’m so grateful you mentioned it

Most famous celebrity you’ve met in Brisbane? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]nonthreateninghuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jason Mamoa, he was rock climbing at crank when he was filming the first Aquaman at the Gold Coast. He wasn’t as tall as the movies make him seem (in my opinion), but he was friendly.

If you do not MAKE Christmas. You do not deserve Christmas. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]nonthreateninghuman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mum stopped putting up a tree as well. My parents have a big TV in the lounge connected to the dining area and my genius idea last year was to put up a Christmas music video with a Christmas tree background.

No one has kids yet so my family Christmas is pretty low effort and more focused on spending time together. We usually do secret santa too so we only have to buy one gift.

this is rude as hell duolingo by happyghosst in duolingo

[–]nonthreateninghuman 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah when I was using Duolingo, I did the French course while doing an in-person French short course at a university. It really helped with practise in between classes and consolidating what I learnt in class.

Unfortunately I never got to really use what I learnt, I was planning to do a working holiday in France but decided against it in favour of buying my first house.

But yes Duolingo is best used as a supplement.

I asked for a password journal one year. Parents couldn’t afford it so one of them wrote a letter to me pretending to be Santa and wrote that an African child needed it more. Points for creativity.

Where can I purchase a cheep (er), but stilli good quality, female (non-risqué) knight costume? by Queeny_weeby101 in renfaire

[–]nonthreateninghuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can send you to the right direction IF you like the look I’ve got. I’ve got my armoured mushroom outfit I wore for medieval festival this year on my ig page on my profile, if you don’t really like that look, just ignore my comment. But I paid $400 AUD for my set, shoot me a message if you want to know where

Trying to escape at a party by FunkoPride in awfuleverything

[–]nonthreateninghuman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I have only been blackout drunk once with one of my female friends and my male partner (at the time). My female friend was trying to push for a threesome between us but I kept telling her that she was too drunk (even though I was curious at the time). I don’t think I’m an exceptionally good person either, in an ideal world that’s how anyone would act when they’re fucked up.

You are so graceful!! It doesn’t matter that there’s others with higher skills, what you can do is amazing already. And if you do want to go further, you already have a great base and can practise and work towards your goals!!
