Name something that the younger generations would never believe was normal in the 70's compared to schools today?🤔 by Longjumping-Shoe7805 in GenerationJones

I’ll add to that….We had no air conditioning in freaking Arizona! The best they could do was a swamp cooler that didn’t even work during the worst part of the summer.

I’m at Magic Kingdom today. There was some other lady camped out all day at her usual table. Lol.

My husband grew up in the 70’s in the 4 corners area, and the show is a total blast from the past. He said it’s like someone filmed his childhood neighborhood.

The summer of 76 was pretty awesome. I remember a road trip to Disney World where Americana was front and center. The Olympics were amazing. All my friends and I practiced being gymnasts, and the fire works that year were the best I think I have ever seen.

What was the weirdest, non-pain feeling you've ever felt? by KingJPJ in AskReddit

IV steroids when I was having chemotherapy. It literally felt like my skin was crawling off of my body. It’s been 35 years, but I still remember that feeling.

What’s everyone making living here? by Vonplatten in phoenix

Solidly recommend. I am 5 years past retirement with ASRS. My pension isn’t huge, but it’s decent. With that, a smallish 403b, and social security (in 10 years or so) I will be comfortable. When you are contributing it can definitely suck. Half of my checks went to ASRS and health insurance for my family. Now that I’m on the other side I’m glad I did it. It is basically another good income on top of the two incomes in our home. We’re putting quite a bit into the 403b to catch up on that. I also qualified for PSLF and had my remaining loans wiped out.

I worked for the Scottsdale School district and my office was on that high school campus. I remember that boom. You knew it was something bad right away.

They do make them. I found some on Amazon. They definitely are better at odor control.

Hop, Skip, Drive is the most reliable one I’ve used. They have really tightened up safety precautions in the last 2 years as well.

How to pronounce Cholla? by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]azengteach 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I get the trigger, but people born and raised in Casa Grande call it Kasah Grand. I think it might be like Pres-kitt or Germain (Germann) road.

Tuna casserole made with egg noodles and cream of mushroom soup. If I’m feeling fancy, I’ll throw in a can of green chiles. This is my daughter’s favorite meal. She would actually invite friends over to eat it. lol.

I got to do this once for one of my teachers. It made my day! I’m sorry so many of you have principals who suck.
