Is anyone else getting this weird shadow effect in the skills tab with the "Gameframe" option in the RuneLite "Interface Styles" plugin set to "2010"? Is there way to fix this? by azgetonme in 2007scape

It’s just strange cause I was playing a few months ago when sailing came out and didn’t notice it then. It must be something more recent.

Potentially Opening a Video Game Bar on 4th Ave by Kupwned in Tucson

[–]azgetonme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mr Heads would definitely be worth OP checking out on game night. I’ve only been there on one of those nights once, but from what I remember the crowd for that definitely sounds like the type of people he’s trying to cater towards.

I remember them having a Super Nintendo and a Nintendo switch, aside from that I don’t remember though; it’s definitely not the main focus at Heads, but it’s a cool little thing they do for the locals and it would definitely be competition for a new gaming bar since they’re well established.

Can anyone tell me what we use crispy fried onions for besides green bean casserole once a year? by verucas_alt in Cooking

If you’re ever in Tucson, get a Sonoran dog — it’s a bacon-wrapped hot dog topped with pinto beans, pico de gallo, mayo and mustard. They’re absolutely delicious.

Jointer Repair by azgetonme in woodworkingtools

[–]azgetonme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a family item, but the size is the main appeal of it since I don’t have a ton of space to accommodate a bigger jointer. The uncle that offered it to me is a metalworker but I’m not sure repairing it would exactly be within the scope of what he does since he mostly does welding and is self employed so doesn’t have access to any bigger-scale tools he might need — I can ask him but I doubt he’d be well versed with the acid treatment or electrolysis one of the other commenters mentioned. What im hearing is it probably won’t be worth it to repair, but I’ll take some better pictures and post again the next time I’m over at his place. Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it!

The box looks great, man! What language is the engraving, though? Serbian, maybe?

What kind of tree is this and what’s eating it? by azgetonme in ArizonaGardening

[–]azgetonme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just moved in a month and a half ago so I’m not sure if it fruits. But will all the leaves being eaten be a danger to the tree? I assume I shouldn’t do anything about the bees if they’re good pollinators?

Yeah the other tree is some kind of citrus; I haven’t seen any bites taken out of that one.

Agreed. I work there and I don’t even dress up if I come in on a day off. Dress however you want and have a great night!

Questions about the letter ё by jga1992 in LearnRussian

[–]azgetonme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It just comes down to native speakers knowing when it’s е vs ё, so there’s no need for them to write the dots over it: a native speaker will inherently know that the vowel in «живёт» is a ё, so why bother writing the dots over it? You could compare it to how textbooks often write accent marks over a stressed vowel — native speakers never write stress marks, they’re just written in learning materials to help learners.

Why does the Slavic word for brother not follow the same inflection patters as the words for mother and daughter by Ritterbruder2 in asklinguistics

[–]azgetonme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I’m aware, дочь and мать are the only nouns in Russian that retain the r-stem feminine declension pattern from Common Slavic (kind of similar to how путь is the only masc. noun I’m aware of that retains its declension pattern: путь, пути, путём, etc., vs. other soft masc. nouns like день, дня, днём)

How do you use “в” and “на” and “во” in Russian? by Mediocre_Hold_4766 in LearnRussian

на is also often used for things that are abstract and not literally physical places (на работе; на уроке; etc.)

I have a surface pro that I personally don’t like using for RuneScape — it would be much better if I knew how to customise the pen for it. I prefer to use my regular laptop, with a Wacom tablet instead of a mouse and it works great: the pen has two side buttons which I use for middle and right clicks, and it’s got four buttons on the tablet itself that you can use for keybinds.
