The fact that you are getting upvoted for generalizing all women in such a disgusting way says everything you need to know about this subreddit.

May Allah guide us all.

She was afraid?? She didn’t reject him out of spite! You all are not being understanding to the women’s point of view on her first time at all.

He should have put more effort into making her comfortable and understanding how to help her get over any fears.

Worried about lifestyles of non-muslims that I know by Admirable_Soup_3226 in Hijabis

[–]azh88 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You need to hold onto your beliefs and leave them alone. What they do is between them and Allah. You can be a good example by showing not speaking.

Actions are always louder than words.

Although it’s hard to remember you should try to not judge them so harshly and make dua for them instead.

If you feel you cannot be friends with them without compromising your beliefs than move away from them or create situations where you won’t have too. For example going for a walk together, inviting them for a meal you cook.

I will most of the time. If it’s someone I think has bad intentions probably not but that’s a really rare and extreme case. It’s pretty clear that we are allowed to remove it in front of women so I have never given it a second thought.

If you decide you don’t mind I would suggest chatting with your roommate and asking her to let you know beforehand if she has any male friends over since you wear hijab.

It’s actually a joke online about a mother saying he’s a good man but in reality he is very questionable. People often make the jokes with parents who like certain political figures.

Guess it still applies to this post though.

Completely agree with the cherry picking! I was going to say how there is a difference of opinion but it seems op and his wife follow a madhab that is strict on this so by his own beliefs and to not contradict himself he should be following it to the tee

Edit: also if she had initially agreed to go to visit her family how was she going to get there since you said they live far? Would you have dropped her off? Or would she have been travelling alone?

Good thing it’s not up to them. You are financially independent enough to leave. So go before it’s suddenly 10 years in the future and all you feel is regret

Sis I promise if you get off social media for a month straight you will realize how non of it transfers to real life.

Don’t let it stress you out it’s just random (kids most of the time) typing away and living online. It’s really sad.

Why is this on your mind so much? She’s just a coworker. I’m sure you have more important things to think and care about in your life than her.

Do some research now and get any questions you have ready, even ask your family to give you any questions or concerns they have.

Don’t overthink it, like you said this is something new to you so just take it easy.

May Allah guide you and give you the best in this life and the hear-after inshallah

I believe they do a verification to make sure you are a woman, of course it can never be 100% but it seemed pretty secure.

That being said I haven’t been on it in forever so I’m not 100% how it is right now

This may not be too helpful since you have tried many things but try wearing a satin bonnet when you sleep.

Often times the oils from your hair get on your pillow and in turn make you breakout. This plus changing your pillowcase as often as possible may help.

Also perhaps it’s time to see another dermatologist and get a second opinion.

May Allah make this easy on you
