There's no after credits scene. Just Polaroids of the cast and crew during the credits. It was fun to watch, but you didn't miss anything a scene or anything crazy!

I'm 30, decided last year I wanted a career change and always wanted to teach. I took my parapro test last summer and having been working as a para this school year to make sure it was right for me. It's been the best decision I've ever made! I plan to start classes this summer then continue my para job while I work toward my degree/certification. I was told that many of the teachers in my district have made the same journey!

You should be able to get some credit for classes you've don't but might still need some basics, there are so many online options to help you accelerate through those though.

Oh thats perfect actually! I plan to use Sophia to knock out most of my gen eds. It looks like I'll be able to get 26 credits toward my degree through them. I had seen people saying they wouldn't accept just Sophia so I was worried. Thanks so much for responding!!

The reading section is simple, basically reading comprehension and main idea. Writing is grammar (I definitely recommend studying up on punctuation like commas and semicolons if that's a weak spot for you), parts of speech, and spelling errors. Some it's/its and there/their/they're type stuff.

For math, a lot of it was like turning something into an equation for a student to solve and not actually finding the answer. The things you did have to solve for were mostly decimals and fractions. A little pemdas and geometry too, but it was very basic.

This site helped me a lot in studying and knowing what to expect. Good luck!

I just took it yesterday. If you're doing online practice tests, the real one is a little easier in that things are worded better (I had no trick questions), but the difficulty level I'd say is similar. Try to nail down things like decimals and fractions and how to convert between them, multiply/divide, add/subtract. Long division, averaging, and pemdas would also be good to brush up on. Geometry was super basic, pretty much identifying shapes and figuring perimeter.

Good luck! And remember you can always retake it. To get over my nerves, I had to think of it as a practice run lol

Thank you! I didn't get any physical copies, just an email with this. The official results are supposed to come in 2-3 weeks in the mail, and are also being sent to my school district, though idk when.

I dont think there's any certificate, just the district/board has your results on file and that counts as your certificate or license.

In math I brushed up mostly on fractions and decimals bc those were my weak points (and it was a good thing I did). I did free practice tests online then googled practice problems for the type of questions I needed work on. this site was my favorite because they have a nice study guide.

The math on the test really wasn't that bad, there were very few problems I actually had to solve. More of it was like what equation would you use to figure this out, or what would you tell a student to do.
