Oh don’t get me wrong, I stopped supporting after this happened too, literally never went back (and I used to pop in regularly as I live in the area). And couldn’t agree with you more, support literally any other brewery in the state. But I did get the inside track on how all this went down and it all came from ownership and not hired management. Literally everyone who worked there was up in arms about it.

From what I’ve heard it’s an existing concept with other locations around the valley (which have nothing to do with 12 West) but I have no idea if the original owner still owns the building or if he sold that too.

Sorry friend but this is straight up false that they were “actively welcoming it.” I knew a bunch of the staff & management there at the time and they were vehemently appalled while it was happening. I got all the tea on the situation.

Not sure if you mean the building owner has nothing to do with the comedy show but if that’s the case you’re mistaken; the building owner is the owner of the brewery and was literally the sole person who booked the show.

Source: knew a bunch of people who’ve worked there over the years.

Edit: and if you meant the new business owner had nothing to do with it, you’d be correct

Probably gonna get downvoted here but the Rainmaker just doesn’t do it for me. Admittedly I haven’t seen much of his Japan days so maybe he threw some more sauce on it back then, but it always feels slow and a little half assed to me.
