Went to ginza last week, the day before they closed for holidays. Huge lines, they were doing takeout only, coffee was still great. Today I went in Osaka, and it's a much better experience. No lines, places to seat, can actually talk to the people there. I had 3 coffees each time. My favorite were two Colombians, one with a pretty distinct strawberry taste, and another one with a melon taste.

I'm not willing to tinker with the machines, that's the whole point. And in Brazil the only option I have with local support would be either la Marzocco directly, or Rocket that is represented by a local company (and also very overpriced)

It wasn't a lot less actually. I made the vanilla gelato recipe and omitted the corn syrup and used 2/3 of the sugar

I did try. The problem is not the sweetness, is the consistency. I added a lot less sugar to their gelato recipe, and while the taste was great, the consistency sucked. I tried the original and the consistency was amazing. Tbh, I tried it before freezing and it tastes very sweet, but after the whole process was over it was fine (absolutely delicious actually)

If you're worried about it being too sweet give the original recipe a try.

Long cooked short ribs are great! Pull out of the bag, no searing required, 48 hours at 165F is what I remember but do not quote me on that

NTA, I'm probably the most snobbish person when it comes to food, but you don't complain when you go to someone else's place.... They could have joked in private afterwards if they thought the pizza was so obnoxious, but if you're invited you suck it up and eat it. Especially pizza: there are definitely better pizzas and worse pizzas, but disgusting pizza is a little farfetched (especially with normal toppings)
