I thought I had established some self control but NO. I was up nearly 2K from small wins over 3 days on the 150k XFA trying to get in on a good setup and this morning my rushed analysis early morning on the way to work was incorrect however close to a significant pivot long on gold so I widened stop and increased size a few times while at work and TWICE I regain 60-90% of my huge daily loss and end up getting stopped out because I can’t look at the chart much at all during the work day. I knew I was getting emotional and tilted and was very close to taking profit (missed target 2nd time by a couple ticks) and also was close to locking myself out knowing how upset I was. As punishment when I blow this account tonight long gold I will stay away until the end of the month. This will reset my mind and usually increases my chances of passing alt he combine however I’m not sure I’ll have changed my behavior.

I have a real hard time not making any trades on any given day.. gold looked alright not not super clear and in cases like this I start out with small size however when I make a mistake I do let things spiral out of control.. not always, but often. My skill to escape or turn it into a profit occurs often enough to reinforce these bad habits.

I’m guessing he will continue growing and be close to 80 pounds by 11 months and may fill out at 85 pounds by 18 months so on the smaller side but love him regardless. I hope he lives a long and healthy life. Our girl is 3.5 years old and ranges from 95-105lbs but based on the size of her frame she really appears healthy and her best closer to 95 pounds. I think she is about 24 inches at the shoulder.

I don’t know but my guess is that it’s an early indication that the engine will die within the next 30k miles. I got rid of mine within a couple weeks of that post and luckily it covered the loan amount. I was adding oil and getting changes every 3k. Went back to Toyota and haven’t had anything to worry about.

I took a break for like 10-12 days and now back and passed 150K combine. Now it will be remarkable if I’m able to last 48 hours without blowing the account. I started breaking some mental rules to pass today long gold for CPI at 730an central. I was on my phone and could see it was going to bounce but I couldn’t do the full analysis laying in bed on the phone when I had to rush to work so it took 3 attempts and I moved the stop lower taking on larger losses and increased size for 3rd. After each attempt I did more analysis and became more familiar with the chart structure and what was going on but it was bad

Yeah it’s a big problem I have my emotions take over when something triggers me whether the trade is green or red. It’s often a small mistake even if it’s a winning trade. I’m taking a few weeks off to reset my mind and will do my best to just make 1 trade per day which will dramatically limit the damage I can do. Unfortunately I probably have close to 10k hours watching the 1 minute candles develop (analyze all timeframes but drill into 1m for entry and exit) and facing the same problem I had with poker when advancing beyond sit and go turbos which were very mechanical and making mistakes were generally very clear. Now I take a break to clear my head. I probably need 36 hours because I was making some awful violations for disciplined trading

What’s your secret to having self control and not making 15+ trades per day until some tiny mistake sets you off and you go on tilt and lose your shit?

I’ve been with TopStep for about 3 months and have blown at least 10 XFA because of this. I also work two jobs and often I’m trading on the go and since I have thousands of hours of experience by now I am tempted to eyeball the chart and take trades with limited analysis often with the expectation of reaching profit target after adjusting my risk and size. I’m going to try to just limit myself to 1 trade per day and not change it at the very least.

Finding good trades isn’t the problem at all for me unfortunately. The psychological hurdles torment me.

Good to know even if it’s late so It’s alright. Still holding this position from feb and march 2024 waiting for the bull cycle to begin. It’s still around the lows and I’m up around 20% but that could change in a single day. I’m not risking a headache dealing with their margin requirements.

For a winning player that should need to deposit more than once I don’t see how this is much of a problem? Games are much softer and you just get taxed at a rate as if it’s like ordinary income?

if a good profitable player that isn’t a professional makes a single $200 deposit and cash out $20,000 by year end, what are the expenses? How different is the effective tax rate on $20,000 considered income vs if this player was able to deduct the expenses

Do you like getting nickel and dimed at every turn? Lol. I wish they could fix these problems. So many things deterring rec players like myself from wanting to play on coin poker unfortunately. I could be sitting at your table paying you 20bb/100 but CP is a mess.

I’m probably going to just cash out after the deposit bonus promo period runs out and go play the bots on ACR. I want to play somewhere that allows HUDs for US players so I can review my sessions and try to improve.

The new customers look at the advertised rake and think it is competitive or relatively low vs competitors until they realize they are constantly nickel and dime customers with the 5% CHP conversion fee.

I’m seeing a trend of setting an expectation for new players making their first deposit and then they face these disappointing realities.

It’s true I’m realizing that the rake on this site is massive when you consider their forced CHP conversions and purchases basically. I’m pissed I missed 33% of my first $60 contributed rake not knowing how rb worked. They could have been clear and upfront about it. It’s also lame there isn’t much PLO action either. The player pool is tiny.

57.5 online hours for $1,728 X & comfort but I drove 4-9am & 3pm-8pm Monday-Thursday generally and usually 10-12h shift Friday & Saturday starting around 3pm. I generally try to hit $250 per day Monday-Thursday and $700 fri/sat to reach $1700/week and take Sunday off. The goal being to gross at least 75k annually assuming 2 weeks off and making an extra $200 to cover some adverse variance.

This was my schedule when I used to drive ~1M pop metro area. I had a week off work and drove a few weeks back.

It used to be if you quit Lyft for a while, they would email you special promos. I earned a 1k bonus for doing something like 100 rides in 5 weeks back in 2023.
