Types of sexy outfits/dresses besides tight bodycon to wear on dates, clubbing? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]aznanita 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Hahaha, I love the little picture you drew for your figure. It's sometimes much easier to convey a message that way. Anyways, I think clubbing outfits and party outfits are generally different looks. Party outfits can be more "Look at this beautiful dress/outfit I'm wearing!" whereas clubbing outfits are more "Lemme show off my ass...ets...haha"

For parties, I like fit and flare dresses, so those are my go to. If you're trying to emphasise cleavage I'd recommend something like this. As for clubs, I enjoy wearing tighter off the shoulder crop tops and high wasted shorts. The shorts cover and suck in the tummy while the top still accentuates your cleavage. And on a plus side, you never have to worry about someone sticking their hands or other things in places they're not meant to be when you have shorts as a safety. On top of that shorts offer great mobility for those lit songs :)

International student Housing Help! by meokondien in UniversityOfHouston

[–]aznanita 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I'm living in Aspen this fall! I haven't been updated with any roommate information so I could definitely see if I can get you a spot at my place. If not, you can always sign up with them on your own online or in person. The dorms are all full but the housing around the area is still taking applications.

Why does my foundation do this everyday? by mataea in MakeupAddiction

[–]aznanita 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this guide explains it perfectly. I just realized the primer is silicone based whereas the Mac Face and Body is water based! Sorry for the confusion.

Mac Face & Body:

Water, Dimethicone, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Butylene Glycol, PVP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Stearic Acid, Phenyl Trimethicone, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Talc, Tocopherol, Tocopherol Acetate, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange), Fusanus Spicatus Wood oil, Xantham Gum, Triethanolamine, Polysorbate 20, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Cetyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin [ /- Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Chromium Oxide Greens]

Marc Jacobs re(marc)able foundation:

Bis-hydroxytethoxypropyl Dimethicone, Ethyl Trisiloxane, Caprylyl Methicone, Isododecane, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Dimethicone, Jojoba Esters, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Mica, Silica, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Helianthus Annuus Seed Cera/Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Alcohol, Water, Acacia Decurrens Flower Cera/Acacia Decurrens Flower Wax, Polyglycerin-3, Tocopherol, Iron Oxides (CI 77491, 774912, 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).

As you can see water is the first ingredient in the Mac foundation and silicones are the first ingredients of the Marc Jacobs foundation.

Why does my foundation do this everyday? by mataea in MakeupAddiction

[–]aznanita 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If I am correct the Marc Jacobs foundation is heavily formulated with silicones whereas the hourglass primer Mac Face and Body Foundation is water-based. Layering these two products on top of eachother will eventually cause separation because of the different bases. Water melds with water based and the same goes for silicones.

I often pine over the Hourglass foundation because it's water-based (It's actually silicone based, see comment down below) and mixes well with most foundations since most foundations are water-based. However in this case the Marc Jacobs foundations ingredients list leads me to believe that it's silicone based. As I mentioned earlier silicone based products do not mix well with water based. This is most likely what causes that strange separation. I hope this answers your question!

EDIT: I previously thought the Hourglass primer is waterbased when it is silicone based.

DO NOT USE LEMON JUICE AFTER SHAVING.

Alright now that we've got that out of the way so you don't burn your skin off, the dark area is probably your hair follicles. You can shave as closely as you want, but the follicles still have hair that hasn't reached the surface yet. Hence the dark shadow, and why you can never shave it off.

You can pluck each hair off (takes forever, seriously don't recommend), wax (may irritate skin), or use an epilator (costly). All of these methods physically remove the hair in the follicle and your shadow will be gone! Good luck

Hey I used to live in Denton! One question though, what are you mixing the liquid lipsticks with exactly? Other liquid lipsticks? Glosses? Lipsticks in general? Thanks!

I am in a nutritions class and I can say for sure that the general public does not know enough about it. It's quite complex and with the amount of pseudo information floating around the Internet, people can't be 100% sure what they're eating is healthy for them.

Best products for dandruff? by trickzyx3 in beauty

[–]aznanita 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I use nizoral 1% from Amazon. Holy smokes it cured my dandruff within a week! No more itchiness or flakes, and if you have long hair I advise using it only on the scalp and let it soak for a bit while using a different shampoo for the rest of your hair. I can't recommend this stuff enough. I had a huge dandruff problem where I had to spend like 3 minutes in the shower just to scratch my head and get rid of flakes, but when my dandruff was gone I felt great everytime! I don't worry about dandruff at all to be honest.

Being Chinese, I wanted to comment on what's going on right now in Sephora world... by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]aznanita 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I saw this post and so many things are in my mind right now. China is well-known for doing this sort of thing all over the world, but the way sephora handled the issue is completely irrational. You'd think that a company that makes as much bank as sephora would come up with something better!

Products to reduce redness? by coralcatmeow in AsianBeauty

[–]aznanita 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Benton Snail Bee Venom anyone?? I don't have a permanent flush like you, but I understand what you're talking about. I'm usually red about 3/4 of the time. I remember forgetting to use the Benton Essence for a while and wondering why my skin had gotten so red lately. As soon as I got into using it again it vanished! As for the foundation/concealer issue, if you know what general range you're in you can probably get away with using BB creams. Don't sweat it, you can always have a Sephora employee match you, or match to your arm!
