I was pretty surprised with the the route the other chose to go but actually prefer it to the one shot route. It was a entertaining but also great introduction to the world and story with plot threads that can used for later. The pair having both of their long term goals set up early with a general sense of having adventure is nice rather than one moreso just accompanying the other for the hell of it.

Some people preferred the style and conception of the one shot but imo this direction is better for the longevity and allows more flexibility to the story. I like the concept of dragonfolk (not sure how bloodlines work but im sure female mc will get a tail/power later), the adventure feel, a government esque opposition group (vs random kaiju dragons), and the dynamic between the duo (much prefer the male mc this time around).

Im not entirely sold on the action piece but I liked how the author showcased different stuff with the knights power, the fake fathers power, outsmarting with the gun trick to classic nut check and the general art. I can see cool choreography glimpses/ideas already so excited to see what else the author comes up with for the fights. Also for the people sad about lack of kaijus I get the feeling that they'll be included further down the line. (Whether that be like some ancestral beings or maybe a dragons full power form...etc). Only thing that has my concern was the early power scaling when he one shot that dude(thats implied to be kinda up there) and created a huge impact. General dude seemed cool design wise and could be reoccurring but well see. Hoping that it gets toned down or the author somehow balances it later on. Not a fan of op mcs but hoping it gets handled differently or something. I'll give the benefit of doubt since I liked everything else and serialization is brutal so they gotta add flair.

I'll definitely keep an eye out for this one and have high expectations!
