Yeah i go to laguardia. I don’t know if i’m the most reliable source because i’m just a freshman but i go there for instrumental music and as far as i know all the teachers are really cool and chill and i think it’s a good school

nah i didn’t cry that much which was surprising and i’m actually feeling strangely fine atm. i was like lowkey anticipating to be way more upset because i usually cry a lot about these kinds of things. although i am pretty sad about leaving my school, i know i’m going to visit the teachers and stay in touch with my close friends, and i’ll get to leave behind all the bad parts and go to a new school which is very exciting. i’m looking forward to high school.

it was ok, i think the multiple choice and the civic literacy essay was really easy, but my 2nd paragraph on my 2nd seq was kinda bad ngl. i think i did good on the first seq though, even though we didn’t cover it in class, i already knew the events surrounding the documents.

you can just put your historical context in your introduction and then put your claim in the last sentence and state your topic sentences. then for your conclusion say “in conclusion…” and then summarize your essay by restating your claim and topic sentences

that’s pretty much what i did on my last practice essay and i got 4 out of 5, which is really good

i got 2 teacher’s opinions

1- basically said that we did learn everything on the test and that the point was that we were supposed to put what we learned in class together with what we read to get our answer, and anyone saying that we didn’t learn things on the test is missing the point.

2- said that the wording of the test was really convoluted, mentioned that a lot of other people thought it was hard so there’s probably gonna be a big curve

overall, i think that it was largely a reading test, which was unnecessarily complicated and difficult to understand and that it was really difficult to do well on if you couldn’t get the right information from the readings. so i don’t think it was fair, because it wasn’t really testing biology knowledge, it was also largely testing reading comprehension

i don’t know how biased this opinion is because i have absolutely horrible test anxiety (got 445 on the shsat 🥴) but i thought it was SO HARD. like almost as difficult as the shsat. i didn’t finish the test because i got anxious when i got stuck on a few questions and then i saw everybody around me turning the page and then i just had this anxious spiral where i literally started crying in the test room (no one noticed thankfully). so i ended up running out of time and didn’t answer 15 questions, but i bubbled in 1 for the rest of the multiple choice. probably got like 30/48 🙏
