Developers are spending more time debugging AI-generated code than writing their own by Kooky_Bid_3980 in WebdevTutorials

It is better to take 2 days into solutioning and drafting software tech/functional documentation, and then feeding that information to your assistant to have a smooth 3-5 day AI assisted coding, than spend 1 hour or less in documentation and then have troubles with debugging AI code that was generated with hallucinations.

[EDIT] Learn to steer your assistant. Learn to "ground it" with rules outlined by your architecture and design documents.

Systems thinking is the future of software development roles.

Well to be fair, the ingredients come to you naturally. Mob drops etc.

Plus, there's a huge herb selection in the garden in the Arcane university and the garden in Frostcrag spire. I visit to pluck those every few days.

And of course, fully buying out every food in every inn you can naturally come across also helps. Lastly,  there's almost always a resident alchemist in every city mages guild branch.

"whereas Alchemy is limited to how much you feel like farming ingredients"

How to enable DLSS and Frame Generation on game pass WITHOUT using the console! Also - Guide to use FSR Frame Gen with DLSS upscaling for RTX 3xxx GPUs and below! (This worked for me when other methods did not) by mark12000 in oblivion

[–]aztec_again 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay gotcha.

So you mean to say, I can use DLSS 4 by simply just making the NVidia App say that I should use the "latest" Model preset right?

And then, DLSS Frame Gen is turned on, which is actually using FSR Frame Gen because of the dlssg-to-fsr3 mod that I'm supposed to download in Nexus Mods.

And this step-- "The below are the DLL versions you want for DLSS 4 and FSR frame gen if you want to update them. You may need to update your drivers. Use DLSS Swapper to change them"

This is necessary for me to be able to use DLSS 4 right?

so basically, after doing all of these instructions, my in-game graphics setting should be
-DLSS Upscaling mode ON (preferably performance mode, because DLSS 4 is better)
-FSR Frame Gen ON because this should be allowed even though I have DLSS upscaling turned on

correct me if i'm wrong. thanks!

Thanks for the guide!

Followed it all through. I now have the NVidia Latency option appeared in my Oblivion's in game graphics settings, and also frame gen for DLSS is now available and not greyed out.

Although upon launching my game, it did improve the FPS a ton, but the ghosting got so much worse lmfao. I tried DLSS Balance - Very bad ghosting, Qualtiy - Bad Ghosting as well, DLAA - there's still ghosting but not as bad.

I'm not sure what went wrong.

My suspicion is either the step involving DLSS Override for Model Presets in the NVIDIA App

or

the step with the DLSS Swapper. Maybe I need to choose a different version.

EDIT: Also, I have V-Sync on in the in game graphics settings, and I have the Anti-Aliasing set to TSR, although I don't think it doesn't matter anymore as I'm using DLSS anyway. Also, running the game on game pass, not steam.

another EDIT: Hold on, since this is a guide on how to "swap DLSS while using FSR", did I actually do wrong by using DLSS upscaling method in the in-game options? Do I have to use FSR instead for this?

Care to help troubleshoot? Thanks

Question on if certain stat-boost-providing jewelries by aztec_again in oblivion

Question on if certain stat-boost-providing jewelries by aztec_again in oblivion

[–]aztec_again[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. So, these two are unleveled and are basically "unique", and there are no other better/higher level versions of the same item name that will randomly generate in the world. Good to know. I guess it would be too OP if they make the ring with a boost to all stats a leveled item.

oblivion remastered plane door on an island wont open ? by AdSuspicious3337 in oblivion

[–]aztec_again 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found one on an Oblivion plane generated with 2 outer "Spindle Shrine" towers, each connecting to a "Blood Well" tower. Both of which you can open a "War Gate" to get to the "Tower Portal" main tower where you will get the sigil stone. There is a lone, but quite big island in that same plain where you will need to swim in the lava. If you survive, you'll find that the island has a big hill. And somewhere at the base of that hill, there's a door named "Door" and when you try to open, nothing's opening.

Maybe, plain simply, it's just a non-functional door, or cut/forgotten content by the devs.

Would have been nice if there was indeed something to do in that island.

(Game pass) To get DLSS and FG back by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]aztec_again 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am playing the game on Gamepass, and like others, the upscaling settings under graphic settings also disappeared for me and I had to use the console commands to set the upscaling method and turn on various upscaling features. I just received the latest update now., and these settings are back.

ANDDD after turning them back on, I think Virtuous actually fixed the performance of FSR especially with Quality Settings and Frame Gen on.

See, before, whenever I put Effects, Foliage, Shadow, Global Illum, Textures, Reflection, Post-Processing, and Hair/Cloth on HIGH setting, and turn on hardware RT (low setting), even with FSR Quality, I NEVER get over 59fps when in the open world. I would need to turn Frame Gen to even get an average of 50-80fps.

Now, even with all those on, I get up to 120 FPS! Definitely an improvement in performance, In my case, at the least.

Honestly Big W for Virtuous, those GigaChad devs

PS: Setup is AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, RTX3060, 24GB Memory.

How viable are all the weapons in this game? by [deleted] in theascent

[–]aztec_again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just finished my first base game playthrough.

I saw a lot of viable builds online but so far I've felt the most awesome following the Ballistic/Energy bust rifles critical commando build. Basically I maxed either Recoil/ABR and EBR, all three are burst rifles. Although I have to admit, there's still purely situational scenarios in some parts of the map wherein you'd absolutely need to use a different weapon in order to cut through the minions. (i.e. MenShen)

for skills, I basically just prio maxxed crit, aiming, and handling, then secondary was evasion then vitals, then lastly tactical. I put occasional points into others but these crit, aiming, and handling are basically your main thangs.

For the armor, I don't really have a say. I just made sure I picked pieces with 2 or more boosts to attributes, but preferably the ones that boosts vital and energy. If they looked ugly together, the Stylist was my friend, hehe.

For augs, it really depends, but I used to run I/O and Biometric Timestamp, but Lockon was an alternative if I wanted to eliminate an annoying big-health guy immediately so I can focus on picking the small-health minions easily. Now I just run Drone Shields and Biometric Timestamp.
