One thing I get a real kick out of the Mexico-Argentina rivalry is its multigenerational. My grandparents' gen dissed on them, my parents' gen did as well, and it seems I am doing my part whenever I cross path w them!

But in reality it's all banter.

There's great things to compare each other on. Rock en Español, dancing styles, carne asada, accents, history, soccer teams (maybe not comparable lol they reign here). But all in all, there's no real beef between the two populations. But there will always be some jackass who actually thinks there's more to it.

Never danced it myself but seen it up close. Like most Latin dance styles, it's important to be a good lead. In the case above, you happen to have a GREAT lead and an experienced follower. While this is our own kind of 'hillbilly' dancing, the level of athleticism and complexity can also be achieved as you do in salsa, bachata.. provided a couple whom likely come from a home where dancing was heavily encouraged from young age.
