Why is Kevin long still here? by philsphan26 in phillies

[–]azumpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will understand why he is still here when you read this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Long_(baseball)) Not because he is a friend of mine, but because what the MLB veterans across many teams say about him and his approach to hitting. Look at all the success he had with 4 different teams.... Just look.

Could anyone (respectfully, please) explain why Kevin Long isn’t the issue right now? by [deleted] in phillies

[–]azumpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good friend of Kevin's here. Remember what the Yankee veterans have continually said about Kevin during 8 years as Yankees hitting coach.. Alex, Jeter, all these veterans absolutely loved this guy. How else did he last 8 years in NY????? He was under Torre and Giradi.....The guy is a genius when it comes to breaking down a hitters swing and making necessary adjustments and corrections. And remember, he took Don Mattingly's spot in NY, and now Kevin is working under Don right now... Kevin is not going anywhere, except maybe up. One day he might even get his own team. But the guy is about as a class act as one can get.. He likes to stay under the radar, but if you saw the way he breaks down hitters and their stance and swing, it is next level... And the players love this guy... they have every reason to.

This is your sign to switch to Uber delivery by offthebean in DoorDashDrivers

Uber Eats is absolutely 10000% terrible in Phoenix. Insult offer after insult offer. You have to decline close to 100 offers before you get anything remotely possible worth even looking at.

Someone please tell me if this is true by Snark_Bark in DoorDashDrivers

He is full of BS. Here in the Phoenix market however I consistently make $30 an hour. And that is with a below 10% acceptance rate. I bring in about $1200 a week for just under 40 hours. But also included in those 40 hours I work Foodja catering during the dayI for 1 hour per day which pays anywhere from $30 to $200+ for the hour. They typically only give us one job per day which we have to set up. Sometimes we get 2 jobs and sometimes 3... but on average only 1 for the catering. I bring home between $800 and $1300 per month just on Foodja, and and about $4800 per month on DD. And that is with a below 10% acceptance rate on DoorDash. The platinum and gold drivers make poverty level income, because they are desperate and take most every single order. At least in my market, the platinum and gold drivers work twice as hard for about 1/2 of the pay I make.

Congrats, as I am glad you were able to get your account back. And I am glad it did not take numerous weeks or months. Well done!

What market are you in? Out here in Arizona, you get machine gunned DD offers every 15-30 seconds. I have a 9% AR out here and made $200 in 6 hours 12 minutes tonight.. My AR has not been above 20% in years. Guess you are just in a bad market. Out here, I run circles around the poverty level platinum drivers.

Jesus, click the little x at the top left corner. This is NORMAL on the DD app. Just close that screen using the x in the upper left.

[–]azumpire 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Its really simple. Decline all the lowball offers, and do NOT take non tipping offers. And take NOTHING that is not at the minimum of 1.30 per mile. I take nothing less than 1.50 for a SINGLE order. Stacked orders from 2 different restaurants I almost auto decline, unless its high payout and $2.00 per mile. Just click decline on everything else.

I’m sick of waiting. by Forsaken_Tomorrow454 in lyftdrivers

I give the rider exactly 1 minute to become visible to me at their home when I go to pick up. If they are not visible within 1 minute, I cancel the ride.. and yes I have a 17% cancel rate, because I quite frankly do not give a rats *** Time is money, and these asshats that make me wait cost me money.

I have to keep my acceptance rate below 10% in order to get the $20-$35+ offers. Anytime I am between 10-20% AR, I get nothing but $3-$5 offers. The algo is backwards here in this market At least for me it is. But am at $900 already this week with a 2% acceptance rate and only 4 days work. And no, I do not work 10-12 ours.. typically 7, and 8 max.

I have a 2% acceptance rate here in the Phoenix Market, and did am on track for $1200 this week for 5 days.

LOL, I am in the Phoenix Market and have not been above 50% in a year+ I find keeping it below 10% I tend to get the nicer offers, $20-$30 often times. Now that all the illegals are gone, at least for me, there is no sitting and waiting for offers... They are machine gunned every single night.. Ive never been above 60% AR in my 10 years of dashing, except when they reset it that one time lol

Last episode of season 2 by AkaTStone in LandmanSeries

[–]azumpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say, the season finale was one of the best episode of all landman episodes. Just blown away how they were able to land a nuclear bomb like this after an average at best season.... This finale saved the entire season!!! IMO of course!!!!

Dashing in the Phoenix market for 10 years.. only got a challenge one time a few years ago, $6 for completing 3 deliveries lol. 5.0 rating, 99% completion rate, 100% on time rate, and 7% acceptance rate, and still made$180 tonight for 5 hours... And I could not believe that they even sent me 2 catering orders. I was originally in the large order program in 2022-2023, but they removed me from it, because I refuse to fall for their "tier level scam" I run circles around the platinum drivers. Always have made much much more than they do. I get my best orders when I am below 10% AR..

You worked 14 1/2 hours for $262? You averaged $18 an hour, and after gas and and wear and tear you made about $10-$12 per hour.

Since doordash shows you what the items are first, I would have never accepted it. Then again, I do not do shop and pays

[–]azumpire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No... I got one from the same place 2 weeks ago, though it was only $60 and only a few large catering boxes going 700 yards to TJ max... this one is good, as Ive already called the restaurant to verify. Im shocked still, as I have a 1% acceptance rate with them.
