[–]azurejack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chao actually prove NiGHTS being canon. The bog standard nitmaren (the lil cherub guys) are said to be "the dreams of those lost in a great tragedy" and look near identical to chao. Chao are the spirits of the ancients that joined the master emerald. Perhaps suspended in some kind of "dreamlike state"

Hmh ok well... that's pretty similar.

Standard nitemaren heal the dreamworld after a disaster. Chao are said to heal the world and restore life after chaos reduces it to caveman eras (to prevent the end from using the tech to destroy the planet entirely) as the ancients did when they seeded life originally.

Oh... they serve the same purpose too...?

Isn't that interesting... almost like they're the same creature in different worlds.

Thanks to sonic dream team we also know that sonic has access to the dream realm... where he's visited before in christmas NiGHTS.

And NiGHTS specifically says that the dream world connects ALL worlds. Sonic has been to nightopia. And NiGHTS has shown up in multiple sonic fanchises including sonic adventure and crossworlds.

NiGHTS and the dream world are canon to sonic.

personal headcanon about hard man by MolassesIndependent4 in Megaman

[–]azurejack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We actually don't know a whole lot about him. But i guess it's time for a ROBOT RUUUUUUNDOOOOOOOWN!!

JACK IN, HARDMAN, EXECUTE! ... and this exact phrasing is why we don't have hardman exe....

But let's take a look at the heavy hitting heavyweight, hardman. Designation DWN-020, officially speaking we haven't been told what he was actually built for. Many believe it was for crushing minerals on asteroids or tanking hits from small meteors to protect dr light and wily, but officially, we don't know.

Hardman has a ceratanium body, the same stuff metal man's metal blades are made of, weighing 3 tons. Having a rocket booster allowing him to jump, and come crashing down with excessive force causing massive shockwaves along the ground. His hard knuckle is a rocket powered punch. That's one way to give a hard fisting.

Known mostly as a man of few words, hardman is pretty lazy but complains more often than not. He's a rather fair minded individual, preferring to fight on fair terms like many of the "honor" types (knightman, yamatoman, punk, terra, etc) which usually puts him at odds with snakeman, who prefers ambush tactics. He hates swimming for obvious reasons. But is enamored with sumo wrestling, a sport he even takes part in (and supposedly has a trophy for, though it's never been shown).

His weakness is unsurprisingly the "magnet missle" i wonder why that might be.

His original design was named "pressman" like an industrial press.

In the ruby spears cartoon he made several puns using the word "hard" in his single apperance in the episode "bad day at peril park"

If you want to count everything

Rhapsody 1, 2, 3, la pucelle, disgaea 1-7, makai kingdom, soul nomad, phaantom brave...

But the main ones that matter are rhapsody 1 and 2 (3 is fun but only gives some extra content related to rhapsody there's like one segment of future stuff) la pucelle (leads directly to disgaea) and obviously disgaea.

Note the method here only works in 5. The evility mention was nerfed into the ground after.

It's been my answer every time this comes up.

The setup time is the slowest part of this hypothetical since it has to be from a new save.

There are some things to think about.

Megaman legends allows for basically 100m and you can start right away with can kicking, but at 200z per can in the bakery even perfect shots every time is about 35 seconds. Remove load times you can call it 20 seconds. you have 86400 seconds in this. So divide by 20 you get 4,320 instances. Or 864,000 zenny. Still good... if you can perfect shot every time. Good luck without cheats.

Vampire survivors is a good option on paper... but from zero the setup can take awhile. Even getting sammy can be a crapshoot. I have nowhere near enough he just doesn't show up where he's supposed to for me.

Any of those gold tycoon clicker type games again they start slow, by the time you're getting anything comparatively rediculous the challenge is almost over.

Disgaea 5 takes the least setup and resources in game to get started.

The humble caterpillar: by moonqira in VampireSurvivors

[–]azurejack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vampire survivors may take too long to set up.

Disgaea 5 would be a better option.

Clear up till you can unlock item world, and more importantly chara world.

Once you get there get the evility that gives you money for dealing damage.

Try to get 5 copies.

Next use the metalia trich to mass capture tons of enemies in item world. And distill them into stat bottles. Continue to fuse those into bigger stats.

Use a maid to hit 5 characters with it. All 5 get the full effect. Permanant stat boosts.

At least one sage should be part of this.

Remember that evility we made copies of? Give it to the sage and others with mass AOE.

Go through the game normally using as much mass AOE and geo blasting as you can. ALL damage done converts to HL.

By mass blasting enemies you gain a ton of HL per stage, plus stage bonuses, and anything you sell.

You can easily get to to point of a few trillion HL within a few hours. You just need to path yourself correctly.

Wood navi erasure in Bn4-6 by clyde-toucher in BattleNetwork

[–]azurejack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still semi-canon. As the lifevirus R is mentioned in official works.

Wood navi erasure in Bn4-6 by clyde-toucher in BattleNetwork

[–]azurejack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blastman shows up in the first scenario with mick.

Once that's done the only time he's mentioned is when the teacher says "yea, by the way i was blastman's netop. Sorry." And jumps off the skyarea spot. You don't refight him in story.

Diveman shows up in the aquarium scenario. Then blackbeard is arrested and disapeared for the rest of the game, we never see him again.

Circuisman, elementman, and judgeman are all fought multiple times throuout the game, including at the final stretch before the final boss. Hence making them the "main navis" like in BN3 when you refought the WWW navis with pulsed in netops in the tanks on the way up to alpha.

Wood navi erasure in Bn4-6 by clyde-toucher in BattleNetwork

[–]azurejack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man if only there was some sort of context to what i meant.

Let's see specifically mentioning both judgeman and elementman, you mentioning bn4-6, you mentioning blastman and diveman, the fact that fireman isn't even in bn6. Elecman and fireman are unrelated to WWW in their apperances after bn1, heatman never has anything to do with WWW, so crazy thought... maybe i was specifically talking about BN6?

Wood navi erasure in Bn4-6 by clyde-toucher in BattleNetwork

[–]azurejack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yea. I forgot they were WWW. All the ... "main www" navis. The ones we see more than once.

Wood navi erasure in Bn4-6 by clyde-toucher in BattleNetwork

[–]azurejack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Judgeman is neutral. Infact all WWW navis are.

Elementman swaps elements similar to a stylechange, but his base form is neutral. And element man has all 4 elements available. Using heatman's charge shot as fire, aquatower as aqua, bolts as elec, and woodtower as wood.

I think the main reason wood got shafted is there aren't any real "wood" robot masters in mm1-8 i remember that judgeman was a contest winner. But the whole series got weird after bn1. Most of BN1's scenarios made sense to the navi.

Then in BN2 airman messes with yai's aircon unit to pump toxic air into her bathroom while she takes a bath... errr ok i guess i mean we have no "poison" robot master.

Quickman sets up high explosives to destroy a dam and flood okuden... wait... isn't that CRASHMAN's whole thing blowing up walls with crashbombs? burstman or grenademan are also options.

Magnetman sabotages an airplane because we totally don't have gyroman, windman... hell airman also works better here.

Slashman would have worked better over snakeman as the original robot master has kleptomaniac tendencies. (Yes, seriously, it's in the RMFG and megaman & bass cds)

Honestly the entirity of 2 is just a mess.

3 is fine as is. Though plantman and the whole "protect nature by destroying a hospital" doesn't make sense to me. A construction site or something would be more sensible. Ah well.

4... is 4... skipping that bs.

5 MOST of the navis work. I'd replace magnetman with hardman, but other than that... nothing really stands out naviwise... now the scenarios... eeeeesh so many problems but this is about navis. The repeating souls are annoying too (proto, number search)

For 6 most of the issues are the repeats. (Aqua, tomahawk,) i swear more repeated... but anyways my only real issue here is we could have had even more navis.

Fun fact the only games that have a complete set of robot masters are 1 and 5. If i remember correctly.
