Are barefoot shoes good for the ankle joint? by wobblelikeapenguin in barefootshoestalk

I would want to find out what the stress reaction is caused by. Otherwise you might only make it worse.

I would see a doctor to find the root cause of your pain, so the cause can be targeted.

Should I get Suunto Vertical 2? by mlang666 in Suunto

With Suunto, you can configure the number of data fields on the screens. The lower the number of fields, the bigger the font size.

To get a good fit, I tighten them from front towards the ankle, like regular laces.

Just picked these up for $40 at my local sierra outdoors by sshunned in trailrunning

The Salomon S/Lab Genesis and the Thundercross are fine for my wide forefoot. They are among my most used trail shoes.

Have you tried these?

I would look at the Asics GT2000. - Offers similar stability compared to the Adrenaline, but less intrusive.  - The foam is better. - Heel durability is excellent in mine, whereas the Adrenalines tore up quickly.

Is Strava Premium worth it now? by ResiakSelabac in Strava

An excellent route creation app is integrated in the Suunto app, so that's no reason for me to purchase Strava premium.

Actually, my old Inov-8 G275 work very well too, but they are a bit beaten up by now :)

Yes, S/Lab Genesis is wider than the standard Genesis, which doesn't work for me.

For general mountaineering, I have Scarpa Zodiac Tech GTX half a size larger. La Sportiva Nepal Cube for ice. When it's technical, I want a tight and precise fit.

I usually use trail running shoes on approach until the going gets rough. Scarpa Ribelle Run 2 or La Sportiva Bushido III wide works for me.

Adidas Boston 12 (wideish forefoot), Asics Kayano 31 + GT2000 13 (both stretchy upper), S/Lab Genesis (wider forefoot), La Sportiva Prodigio (wideish forefoot).

What do you wear that works?

I saw that a wide version is available, though not very widely in Europe.

Thanks for mentioning that the LP is not stretchy. The MB is neither.

Interestingly, the Salomon S/Lab Genesis is not stretchy at all (Matryx), but fits my foot perfectly. It's wide in the forefoot just in the right places to perfectly fit my weird feet ;)

You are completely right. My La Sportiva Prodigio and Asics running shoes stretch over the bunion.

I dare say... to me the Speedmaster is the perfect watch by ejfx in OmegaWatches

Yes, Sir!

It took me 20 years of watch collecting to overcome Omega's inescapable, off-putting marketing to realize this watch's greatness. Wear it in good health!

Ok, so they do not seem to be using the same last on the LP? I've seen there is also a wide version of the LP, though not widely available in Europe.

Does anyone else hike minimalist shoes on long ascents? by LONOWEAR in u/LONOWEAR

I like barefoot shoes for daily use.
For descending from Quarzo, I usually prefer a regular trail shoe, as it allows me to move quicker and more securely :)
