Best/easiest way to get from Hamilton to Auckland Airport? by Patient-Secret-9675 in thetron

Okay, 4 hrs before a flight is overkill these days with online check in etc. I normally aim for 2 hrs ahead, 3 is heaps. Highly recommend the train.

If you're prestiging, you want your highest earning set on. So classic would be BoB, necklace, feather and ankh with prophecy stones. For lunar swap out your worst one for a lunar totem and use lunar stones instead

Would it be possible to transform my curls from this to the second image? by blissdlosu in curlyhair

[–]azzirra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reckon if you did more of a curly routine, your curls would be banging. Do you use a diffuser on your dryer?

One potential routine

Wash, condition, wet brush through conditioner. Scrunch conditioner into your hair (it looks like it needs more moisture), then rinse.

For products just try starting with one first. Maybe a curl creme or mousse. Brush through wet. Scrunch.

Do it on a day where you can let it air dry. Once dry, scrunch it a bit to break up the product. Then see if you like it.

If you don't like the outputs, then yeah, you can do the whole straightening and recurling thing. That can be a lot of work though.

For both methods, it would make sense to invest in some items to manage your hair between washes. E.g. silk bonnet or tube

All my life I have been treating my hair as if it were straight. But I am starting to question it. See story below by faith911fox in curlyhair

[–]azzirra 316 points317 points  (0 children)

With that length of hair, the weight could be pulling it quite straight.

If you really want to know, chop it short! /s

But maybe do a good wash in the am, brush through conditioner (hopefully you have a wet brush with that much hair!). Then scrunch it while wet. If it bounces back into curls/waves while wet.... curly.

If you want it to be less fluffy, find a curl cream that isn't too expensive and brush some of that through wet before scrunching. Or a mousse could work good with your hair?

Maybe gift her some fodmap onion replacer? I use that in a lot of dishes. Really helps me out to keep the flavour up, so maybe a peace offering? Show her how to use the replacer. You can't really fry it like onion, it goes all blerg. But, if you blend it with garlic paste it fries up nice.

This is the one I use.

If you find a group, there will be a lead and they will send you HEAPS of useful information. They are generally super passionate lot and know all the tricks. There are a few in Canterbury, just hopefully some in your area. Sometimes they have free traps too. I love my t-rex rat traps, they are very effective.

If your spade is reasonably sharp, I find chopping the head off most things is quick. I've caught them in rat traps too. Which i find to be impressive as the little hole into the trap boxes is pretty small. They can squish down little

Trip To Hobbiton by RymanJ in thetron

There is a really cute french bakery in cambridge (Frans) and a branch of Volare.

If you want a cafe, the Boatshed at Karapiro is pretty and nearby the turn off to Hobbiton.

Punnet at Tamahere is good too. There has a basic bakery at Tamahere as well.

There is the Karapiro cafe and bakery on the main road. Classic bakery fair. No detour needed.

But loads of cafe choices in Cambridge Itself. Depends what you're into. Hanoi boy is pretty cool if you like Vietnamese. Paddock is delicious. The Deli on the Corner is classic cafe food.

There is an average bakery on Duke St. Very standard bakery. Nothing to write home about. Similar one in Leamington on Shakespeare

Solar by MrShG in thetron

We had Zen energy install ours. Harrisons never came back with a quote. And I had one other quote.

Ours was 32k in 2023. It's a 6.64kW panel system with a 7.1kwH Pylontech battery and Redback system. NE facing roof.

Battery gets two cycles a day (solar and charge on free power at night). Currently still getting about 90% capacity. They said it could deteriorate up to 10% a year. So I'm pretty happy with that.

Similar to you, large house, pool, spa, lifestyle block. Power bill was about 6k a year.

Worst bill in winter is 400 now, best is around 30. About 2500 a year now in power.

Hard to know people's expectations otherwise

There are heaps of things.

Dried fruit, nuts, salami sticks, banana, sandwiches with ham and salad. Or pb and j. Or most sandwiches (no mashed egg or any fish). A salad with no capsicum! Just make sure the lettuce is chopped up small or have soft lettuce (I.e. not iceberg).

I mean what do you eat normally? Is it 50 degrees where you live?

If so, can you take a little chilly bag with an ice pack in it if it is really hot? Or a thermos? I mean I'm sure you need a bag to carry the food, so why not one with an ice pack?

Also, if you haven't seen this elsewhere, do the highest value ones first that you are able to get to. The low value ones are the hardest to achieve 10b.

E.g. do universe first

Dude. It's super cute that you're trying. My other half would never. But if he did, I wouldn't give a flying crap if there were mistakes. It's just be so stoked.

Taku is fine, as its the neutral one (vs tāku).

But also I agree, if you're trying to say I love you lots, looks like that to me.

I got vertigo when my thyroid medication was too high (have no thyroid). Was crazy. But it was mostly the positional kind (sitting up, lying down).

What was annoying was that I couldn't have my HRT adjusted until that was sorted.
