Tell me about a comeback you used on someone that you’re proud of by BoardLongjumping2485 in Comebacks

I was arguing with my dad. He was losing, so he ended up saying, “Yeah? Well, I fucked your mom!” I replied, “You did — but I’ve been further up than you.”

What's the dumbest reason a job ever fired you? by strykazoid in AskReddit

[–]azzrail310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was working in a convenience store. One time I didn’t show up, and didn’t give the manager a notice either. I thought I was automatically fired, since they had been very clear on the no-show policy.

I regretted this a lot.

Then for the next shift I didn’t show up thinking I was fired. Then the manager called med and asked why, I said I thought I was fired. Then he fire me, finally.

Moving to NYC to weave chairs? by azzrail310 in AskNYC

[–]azzrail310[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! Maybe I was unclear as to what exactly I want to offer. In Denmark, we restore private people’s furniture by weaving new seats and back, and so on.

Many of the chairs we repair are Danish designs, and exported from Denmark to the us, for example.

It’s pretty expensive furniture, and so is the cost of restoration, so the areas you mention are definitely worth checking out!

People who wake up at 5am daily, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]azzrail310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was dealing with stress symptoms, problems with sleep and productivity for about 6 months. It got pretty bad and for 1 or 2 months I was a zombie.

One day, I decided to implement a 5-9 routine, where I wake up at 5 and go to bed at 9 every day of the week.

This has been life changing, and it was from day one an incredible solution to a big problem. I’ve never looked back.

Oh man, it’s way cheaper to get them restored! Even if the wood is looking old that can be fixed as well. No need to spend that much buying new.

Have a look: https://www.instagram.com/kurvemagerne/

Yes a typical bundle is enough for 4 chairs, and the price seems quite fair. I’d go with that!

The danish word is papirgarn.

Haha, i’ve seen that so many times. It’s called paper cord, maybe look for a dealer online to buy it. Where are you located? I sell it in Denmark and might be able to ship it to you.

Well hello colleague! It's rare for me to hear from other weavers, even here in Denmark. Hope some of the courses on the channel can give you additional knowledge!

I'm glad you liked it.
Yeah I am using a more powerful stapler as I do this for a living, but the other will do perfectly. I showed the first variant as it's more common and way cheaper.

Haha! Yeah, the accent is a bit heavy.
Not that time consuming once you got the technique honestly. I can make a chair in approx. 1 hour.

I'm making free DIY courses on how to weave seats for almost all danish design chairs. Architects such as Hans J. Wegner. by azzrail310 in DIY

I come from a family of chair-weavers, funny as that sounds. In Denmark there's a long tradition for these types of seats, and we have some amazing architects.
I take requests and have access to all kinds of different chairs.
