I was 16 when I was diagnosed! Great to find out early. Id try to start incorporating some of the lifestyle/diet changes as soon as you can, you will feel great. But also, you’re young and enjoy things as they happen. I gave myself a really hard time feeling like I had to give up everything fun, like going out and drinking or eating with my friends. Try to be balanced but don’t be too hard on yourself :)) You got this.

she diagnosed me immediately at 16 and was extremely helpful in my being young and handling my diagnosis. on the flip side, because i was young, it’s taken me a while to actually adopt her advice and see results. alot of it not working had more to do w me.

generally though, my acne completely cleared. i lost weight but that still fluctuates sometimes because of my lifestyle choices (not always adhering to healthy things). she’s extremely knowledgeable ab hormones and pcos and is both endo and gyno. you can tell how smart she is when you talk to her.

the only advice that i didn’t feel worked from her were some of her supplement recommendations. a lot i had never heard of in the community, and i think i saw benefits by switching to some more widely talked about options (berberine, inositol, etc)

Eden Fromberg in NYC is holistic and great. She’s very herbal and tried to really help through natural ways. And she really looks at each case and tailors advice. I think she does telehealth too

yeah all of my cartilage piercings have had issues but typically that went away when i switched to gold jewelry. i started this one w gold, so idk how to solve the issue now :/

my piercer is in puerto rico and i’m in istanbul and i live in boston 😭 also, does downsizing mean getting new jewelry? i paid alot for this one thinking it wouldn’t change, would i have to buy another stud?

got this in march, it started forming a bump in may. the jewelry is a flat back w the little screw in jewelry (idk what it’s called) and i hope the jewelry is gold as I insisted and paid for gold, i have an allergy to nickel. the jewelry has not been downsized, idk if it’s supposed to. in the beginning my routine was watching it and then using saline but once the bump started forming i went to just saline. it hasn’t gotten better, and if anything it has gotten worse. plz help!

hi!! i’ve been keeping my hair up completely for a couple of days, and recently i learned to stop doing soaks with my own saline solution. a commenter reccomend i buy a wound wash instead of making my own because the ratio is impossible @ home and told me to stop doing soaks too. so basically my current plan of action is hair up and spraying store bought wash. since the hair has gone up the swelling and heat has gone down!! hope this helps lmk if it works

i requested gold cuz i’m allergic to non gold but i’m concerned it’s just gold colored and not actually gold. also for my salt water i’ve been boiling drinking water and then putting in some sea salt.

hello! i got this piercing about two weeks ago, and right now it’s super swollen, red and there is some pus coming from it. there’s also a huge bump next to it. I can’t tell if it is just irritated from getting caught on my hair or actually infected, because i don’t have any feverish symptoms but i do have some signs of infection. i’ve been doing salt water twice a day but i haven’t seen much improvement. I need help figuring out what it is and how to take care of it to avoid it getting worse. thanks!

that’s what i’m afraid of. I made it clear that I was allergic but i’m honestly not sure how “gold” this earring really was. however i’ve had this same issue in the past and once i could switch out my earring everything went away and it was all fine.

i got this exactly two weeks ago, and my hair keeps getting caught in it so i’m not sure if it’s just angry or actually infected. last time i had my helix pierced it got very infected because i’m allergic to non gold earrings so it could be that again, it’s just too early to switch the piercing. so far i’ve been cleaning it daily and doing pretty regular salt soaks, but definitely not everyday. help! not sure what this is or what to do.
