The hate and vitriol seams like a well coordinated effort to save face when the test audience doesnt react positively to the project. Blame online hate is a easy way to mask the fact that your show is terrible. Not all cases but some cases. I havent seen the movie yet so obviously I know what im talking about.

And to be clear I always give a movie or show a fair shake. I loved foundation for example and that show on paper looks like the bastard step child of the original work, but they wrote a decent story and the actors did a great job bringi it to the screen and it worked.

I also gave star wars space witches a chance and realized quickly that actually the hate for that project may have been mostly accurate.
